Hello all! I want to do a custom exhaust for my 1500 5.7 hemi by using the banks dual exhaust for the ecodiesel. I want to use a banks muffler with the ecodiesel exhaust. Do you guys think it will fit/work?

Why not use an exhaust designed for the hemi that you know will be a direct fit

You could go to a custom exhaust shop. For the most part the do sound similar but I don’t think the same. Sound also changes based on other mods. My truck I have the borla s type catback and long tube headers with an intake manifold. Each mod changed the tone of my truck. Corsa is more raspy and higher note than borla. Mbrp is a bit on the raspy side. Magnaflow has a deep growl. Most of the reason that I suggest a hemi exhaust is most properly designed exhaust kits are designed around drone reduction. If you install an eco diesel exhaust, which I’m not even sure if it’ll bolt up, it may drone real bad.

The Bank exhaust system for the EcoDiesel does away with the muffler, it includes a Y-pipe for the dual exhaust.
Basically you'll have a straight exhaust from the catalytic converter back. You'll want some form of muffler or resonators.
The EcoDiesel can get away without a muffler since it's turbo charger along with having DPF and SCR.
As mentioned above a muffler shop can probably make you something similar then just buy the exhaust tips if you want it to say "Banks Power" on them.
Contact @Nick@GotExhaust in the vendor section: GotExhaust.com about something unique.

if you want a truly unique sound go to the exhaust shop and get an x pipe true dual exhaust with two small mufflers of your choice
or if i had to do it again might just get an xpipe muffler from magnaflow or borla and leave out the extra mufflers
if you already have the dual rear exhaust they can weld it up to that

people will be breaking their necks to watch you go by haha

I had a Banks Monster exhaust on my old 2003 5.7 and it sounded FANTASTIC!!!!! But.... it sounded a LOT like the Magnaflows that I've had on my Hemis over the years too...

I will never sound like a diesel though...

Props for wanting to do something different, but it's not going to be all that different from whats readily available to bolt in for the hemi aleady.
