My radio keeps selecting Sirius. When I select FM or AM it automatically goes right to Sirius. Once on Sirius it continues to select Sirius, I hear the indicator "****". I have sound.

I don't have Sirus in this truck and I have the larger radio with the backup camera in it.

Any Ideas?

OK. This is a bit strange. I disconnected the negative battery for 20 minutes or so and then reconnected it. Started up the truck and the radio works but I have a totally different home screen now. Also no more Sirius touchscreen button underneath the "FM" touch screen button.

Weird.....

Was this some type of a forced update?

Anyway, thought I'd circle back and post my experience should anyone have this issue.

Your radio is likely overheating and is on the verge of delamination. Screen replacement and/or radio replacement will be necessary. I have also had success by adding fans and foam insulation between various parts of the radio.

Delaminate? I'm getting a growing line on the screen now. Top to bottom. Is that what you're referring to?

Funny, but this is about when (5 years) the Radio in our 2010 Jeep JKUR pooped the bed. Have the upgraded sound system in that rig too. Had the radio changed out as it was out of warranty. Luckily I bought an extended warranty with this truck.

Yeah you have the dreaded 2018 delaminating screen too. I replaced my digitizer screen but I didn’t have a warranty. Contact Ramcares to start the replacement process.
By the way I spent many summers in the Toms River area. Loved the NJ shore.

UPDATE-Jumped in the truck today and the old radio screen is back. Doing the same thing. Bouncing down to the SXM button. Also if it stays in the FM mode it will occasionally go to the far right radio station that's displayed.

Made an appointment with the dealer for next Wednesday.

I'll advise of fix.

Loop in William with @RamCares (see above reply) they have been really good with dealer interactions on this issue

Wanted to circle back.

My dealer replaced my radio under warranty. Happy I listened to the finance guy who sold me the warranty when I bought this truck used in 2020.

They also had to replace the fuel filler neck as certain fuel nozzles would get stuck and take quite a bit of work to get out.

All is working as it should.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
