Got it today, i like it cause the truck feels more secure sitting in the jack saddle and the base is a lot bigger as well compared to my 8 ton bottle jack at lest when lifting from the LCA. I still like that little sucker though so i'll keep it in the truck i just bought another one for my wife Explorer.

Until it locks up while extended and you need a second jack pull it out, way too expensive a paperweight
Luckily mine jammed open while testing it not while lifting my truck

I'm sold! I think that's worth the investment. Already planning more upgrades over the next year and may move up to 35" tires, but this would be great and fit under the rear storage areas or in my rescue box nicely.
WAIT !!
Don’t buy one ..I’ll give you mine!!

Loosen up the RAM bolt at the top one turn or so and test again.

I’m not really confident using it since it failed so easily and it’s made in Taiwan and would rather not take the chance of it failing again under load.

Why are you giving yours away? Is it not working up to your expectations? I have a Bilstein leveling kit with 35” tires. Based on what you’ve been trying is this something that will work for me? Thanks.

Btw has anyone found a good bottle Jack that isn’t $200+ ? All the Chinese ones are cheap and questionable. US maxes ones are obscenely priced.

I returned the HiLift. Returned the polymer Jack stand as well. The bottle Jack idea looks like the best all around. I hate how scissor jacks work.

I think it’s 2005 on that places the jacks under the front passenger seat.

If you’re not restricted from using eBay
Phrase a search with the words
“RAM 2500 Bottle Jack”
and there is at anytime approximately 2 to 5 auctions or buy it now offerings of OEM bottle jacks available all well under $200 dollars
The best part is the OEM’s will fit in place of the 1500 scissor jack under the front passenger seat with no modifications

I use one of these for tire swapping at the track and love it.It gets used every week-end,and so far hasn't give me any issues in the 3 years i've had them.Bought 1 loved it,then bought another to throw in the wifes car.If you're on soft ground, you'd want to throw some dunage/blocking under it,other wise it'd sink into the ground. They're light and convient to use,and most have a built in air compressor.

So if I buy one @Wild one, you guaranteeing it? :roflsquared:

Been looking at that one for a little while, but was putting it off. Then realized it's been a while since the tires got rotated, and doing that with the OEM jack sounds... Painful.
You try running this off *not* the truck/car? IE like a battery charger? Don't love the idea of rotating my tires on the truck battery.

Hook the charger to the trucks battery if it worries you, although i've never had any issues with running them off either the trucks or cars battery. The one i use most ,has been used to swap street tires to drag radials every summer week-end for 5 years now,and still works as good as the day i bought it,the other is still basically new.I don't even bother with dragging my heavy floorjack out anymore,i just use this little jack as it's more convient then skidding a floorjack around, then having to pump it up.

Real World :(

you are using a jack, because your tire is FLAT

With the tire bulging out, how will you get the this jack in close

I travel a lot & i have more than enough time to look at the shoulders of the road.

From the Pacific Ocean to about 70 miles inland, the edge of the road is solid & generally level.
Then the edges of the road begin to have soft sand, at 75 miles inland, the edge of the road is like driving on the beach, your tires sink in, if you don't have plywood, you won't be able to use a normal jack. You need to break out a tire puncture kit & an air compressor.

After you enter Arizona & New Mexico, the shoulders of the road, where the shoulder is semi hard, they highway road department has sloped the shoulders, so you can't use a jack on a side hill.
Again you need the puncture kit & an air compressor, unless you have a blow out & you have to get really creative with Creosote brush & your Floor Mats, or call Triple A.

I belong to AAA & have the Premier Plan, so i can have them tow my Harley Trike too

I use my 3 ton jack with a 4x4 block of wood. Use my 6 ton jack stands and no issues. 6” suspension lift/3” BL on 37s.

Never had a flat with my 37s yet, but have the jack in the back of truck just in case!
