2016 1500 Laramie. Truck is unlocked and in garage but fobs are gone. How do I unlock the steering wheel and put it neutral without a fob?

just above your Ram E Brake release lever
The plastic square above will pry out fairly easily

Behind that cover, there is a lever that allows the truck to go into neutral

watch this video, so that you don't break anything

call some Mobile Locksmiths to see what they charge for a New FOB, Programing & to cut a Valet Key
It is usually much cheaper than the dealership.

Try ACE Hardware also

That lever only releases the transmission....not the steering column.

The steering isn't locked, hasn't been that way for many years now.
Really? I swear mine locks.. I guess I cant confirm that by memory but I'm pretty sure my 2014 locks the steering. Unless I'm just that scrawny that I cant turn my 37s without the power steering. :hahano:

We'll have to go with the 2nd thought, lol. The steering on any Chyrco product hasn't locked in years

The $24,000 question should be, what happened to the fobs ? Maybe someone is just looking for a way to "borrow" someone's truck ???

Hmmmmmmm, gonna have and go outside and see if my Steering locks, I do not remember either my 2015 ED did either?

REPORT: No locking. The BOIRD last time I remember steering locking was on an 86 GMC Jimmy, which had the "key/ignition" in the steering column. Think any of the dashboard mounted ones have not locked for years, just did not even remember that till I read the post, the things U learn and remember being on this forum, LOL.

My thought as well. Locksmith is an easy solution, just have to be able to prove ownership.
