Apologies for beating this thread to death, but anyone attempting this mod should know this before hand.

I reinstalled my upper and lower shutters and reinstalled the little bracket that connects all the shutters together. I plugged in the shutters and air dam, and now the truck can operate as normal.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GONE!

I still have plenty of air flow through the grill.

The Upper and Lower shutters MUST REMAIN INSTALLED to prevent the Check Engine light. You simply CANNOT rip everything out and zip tie the wires up. You WILL HAVE a Check Engine light that way.
On my 2020 Bighorn, I (believe) that I had to leave the middle shutters in place as well a the top and bottom, because (unlike the 2019 and earlier) the middle shutters are the drive shutters for the whole assembly. I've seen people post pics of their AGS with a motor on the bottom. Mine is NOT like that, but rather in the MIDDLE of the unit.

You definitely need the middle, but after that you only need one more to keep the whole thing physically stable. I picked to keep the middle and bottom, works great.

So for 5th gens you can pick either top or bottom.
