Yesterday I installed an oil catch can. When I pulled the PCV valve and the attached hose I found that the hose was coated in oil. The install wasn't too complicated just tedious due to the engine still being hot.
Well that catch can is going to be catching all that oil from now on ... I love my catch can

My 2010 needed a new AC evaporator, figured I'd do the heater core at the same time, and what the heck, since I had it apart why not convert it to dual zone ATC, I already had the ATC control that came with the dash bezel when I bought the heated\cooled seats. Picked up a broken dual zone plenum from a local yard for $100, took it apart and used the guts out of it in mine. What a PIA the wiring was, no where near as easy as the 2013+ years, but it works! Have cold AC again, just in time for winter.

Changed my oil, Redline 5w-20 (Preparing for winter, usually run 5w-30), and using Royal Purple 20-820 filter.

Wasn’t planning on it today, but when opportunity knocks……. best not be sleeping.

Scored the following out of a 2500 Laramie today. Needs a bit cleaning and dusting off, other than that….. great condition :waytogo:

I’ll post before and after‘s as the install evolves……

I added a levelling kit, rebel wheels, AT tires, CarID head and tail lights, a step rear bumper, fender flares, and rebel grille. Also added a tailgate assist. Turned out great! Next is plasti-dub the badges and then on to the rebel front bumper.

Why do you have an Oxygen or an Oxidizer(cant read it coearly) DOT diamond on your back glass? Is that a CA requirement if you have a tank in it?

Got my truck back yesterday. Well,.........that was a slap in the face. I was thinking maybe 800 bucks or maybe 1,000 bucks TOPS!!! NOPE!!! Over 1,300 bucks!! I was pretty ******* pissed off about it. It's all parts cost that killed me.
So,..........

OEM battery
OEM front pads/OEM front rotors
Mobil 1 synthetic oil change
OEM oil filter change
Fix squeaking window on driver's side
Wow.

Replaced the broken turn signal/puddle light and installed a locking gas cap. Waiting for my tint person to return from vacation to get the tint done.

Finally time for an update.

Getting my chrome exhaust tips powder coated took considerably longer than I anticipated. However, they look awesome.

Here they are mounted after the exhaust swap (Pentastar V6 single to Hemi 5.7L takeoff).

Got rid of the dealership propaganda (mudflaps) and went with some gator-backs with gunmetal plate.

20220910_142524.jpg

Added a little hitch cover LED bling. Now the chrome hitch pin needs to be replaced with a black one.

And lastly, tinted front driver and passenger windows.

Still to come are smoked tail lights, 3rd brake light, fog lights and license plate lights as well as tailgate assist.

Replaced tonneau cover. RetraxPro MX replaced a BakFlip. BakFlip was getting a little tired and was heavy when opening it all the way. The Retrax slides smoothly. I would have preferred a locking mechanism underneath. I was used to having to open the tailgate to open the bakflip.
