I have an 18 crew sb with the 5.7. I’ve been looking around but don’t know if it’s worth it in this market. Things are tight and trade in offers are low from what I hear. I get about 14mpg. What are others with the 5.7 getting, can I squeeze more out of it or is this is good as it gets?
13-18 in City, 17-20 ish on Hwy if stay away from over 70 mph, over 70 mph, will drop down to 17 mpg. 12 mpg towing a trailer and load of 6-7,000 lbs. 2019 5.7 (no E-torque), mostly stock but more aggressive AT3W's on truck. (FWIW< I only tow local, and no WDH).

I know with my 2013 1500 I was getting a little over 11.5 with all city driving. The power wagon is around 9 and change. Highway they seem a little closer. The stop and go seems to hurts the power wagon mileage.

One trip I take is about 175 miles round trip. It's about 40% interstate, 40% highway / back roads, and 20% in town with a few stop signs and lights. Also around three pit stops where I shut off the truck. I can average 21 mpg if I behave myself. Of course this is the trip computer calculation. It may be off a little but should be quite close. My truck is a 2017 quad cab hemi 8-speed with 3.92 gears and stock 20-in tires. I certainly can't justify trading it for a 2.7 Ford EcoBoost to pickup around 3 mpg more.
As an owner of a 2.7 ecoboost in a crew cab short box...it's more than 3 mpg. Little ******* puts down about 28 if you behave with roughly that same combination of driving and a light foot. I've seen its Distance To Empty reach over 600 miles.
