I just "upgraded," from a 2020 6.4 to a 2020 6.7 - it's my first diesel. So far, it's been pretty decent. Towing mileage is up almost 50% with our 11k lbs loaded trailer. I have never driven diesels - ever - so I'm curious if there are any issues with trying to run them at lower speeds. I have trouble keeping the truck at a consistent speed since I have to let off the pedal - kind of like on/off over and over - when I'm running slower that 30 MPH without the trailer. The truck has 24k miles and I never experienced anything like that with my gas 2020 ~ which I bought new and ran up to about 22k miles. Is this normal? I can of course get this to the dealer and warranty it, but before I take it in and look like a complete rookie, I thought I'd ask for some input. Thanks in advance.

no problem running a diesel at slow speeds, the accelerator pedal does have a different "feel" vs a gasser. The torque converter will lock up at a lower rpm compared to a gasser as the torque band is much lower. The Cummins makes more torque just over idle than the 6.4L does at it's peak.
Will the truck hold 25 mph if you set the cruise control?

I had a silverado with the duramax, and when I tried to go slow thru camgrounds it just didnt want to accommodate. It used to want to do 20mph, or nothing. With the RAMs I feel they are much better at the slow or creep speeds. Especially with the aisin trans.

I live in an area with a lot of 25mph speed zones...cruise control is your friend. The 15mph school zones are another issue...Too low for cruise, so you have to feather it a bit. As mentioned above, it's the torque...Peak torque is at 1400rpm. That was up near 5K on your gasser. Big difference in slow speed response to throttle inputs.

Peak torque isn't at 5,000 with the 6.4,it's at 4,000

Ehhhh...same difference. Ya ain't got shizit down bottom, either way. But thanks for pointing that out.
You're not the brightest bulb in the room if you think peak torque at 4,000 is the same as you're claim of 5,000 is.No problem sir, i have no issues with correcting a so-called genius, lol  . Have a good day,and next time do a little more research before flapping your gums:Big Laugh:

I have finally mastered the “campground creep” lol and it requires a feather touch on the go pedal. But it’s closer to 8-9 mph instead of the posted 5.

Not at all,i just love correcting idiots, that really have nothing to offer to a thread, like his comments in the "noise" thread.I'd of left him alone if he'd of been right, but if you're gonna spout off incorrect info,i'm definitely going to make you look like an idiot, lol :signs1:
