I just finished reading all 36 pages of this thread. Thanks for all the great pics of our beautiful country! Hope everyone had safe travels and will continue to be safe. The pic is of my first trip with the 3500. Had a 2020 2500 before, love the air suspension with the 5er. Was staying near Savannah Ga while my youngest daughter was visiting from Wa state.

Hill City South Dakota, I love the black hills.
Beautiful country! Good thing you have a 2500 with the TT and then the Harley in the bed.

What does that weigh and how do you get it up into the truck bed safely? Back in the day I had some smaller bikes in my truck bed (older half ton trucks) and it was sketchy getting them in and out. Just wondering.

Thanks for the additional pics y'all. Great stuff.

I bet the lift weighs 300 lb's, Bike is 1000 lbs with all my stuff and i have 100 pounds of gear under the lift. The camper has 500 lb tongue without the weight distribution hitch so its right at the limit for bed weight, It tows and stops fine. Little doggy on the hills and in the wind.

The deck the bike sits on rides down and up on a set of rails pulled by a winch and gravity. I used to ride my soft tail up a ramp and that made me nervous. I would never attempt with my dresser.lift2.jpglift1.jpg works nice, I use it for my sled in the winter

The campground is Old Cedar Campground in Monroeville NJ. I had to mention their name. They deserve the promo.

Going to try your campground out this weekend, just a short stay, checking in Friday night, leaving Sunday. I'll let you know how it goes.

Edit - the weekend of the 23rd, not this weekend

Darn, I'm here this weekend and it is a beautiful weekend. Low 80's for the high and low 60's at night.

We'll be back Oct 14-16 for the final trip of the year.

@jawzs2 On some of these sites the water is shared or near the front of the site or both like the one I'm on. For me it's on the wrong side as well, but I knew that and I was ok with it. My 50' water hose reaches but not by much. My sis-in-law is next to us and it works great for her because it's on the correct side and her water hook up is in the front pass thru where mine is on the back.

They'll let you drive thru to check out the sites ahead of time if you want. I'm not sure how close you are but it might be worth a trip. The sites on the other side of the lake are better suited for trailers under 25'. When you're looking for a site, you might want to keep that in mind.

9B is literally across the street from me. Here's your site taken from my site. All your hookups are in the back of the site.

Fantastic! Thank you, that's perfect, my hookups are in the back also.

Thanks again for the pic, you made my wife's day

Glad to hear that.

I don't know if you knew this but they give a 10% military discount but you have to ask for it.

Getting set up - you were spot-on, staff is great and it is a nice campground. Thank you for the recommendation - now off to get dinner ready.

Turkey, just have to say, I love the quote in your signature. He was and will probably remain the greatest president of my lifetime. Great stuff Sir!
They don't make em like that ne more. I think as a world we just lost the last great one from those years, QE II (not the boat RADO). That lifetime experience is now gone and none of the younger generation looks at history, all they do is try to re-write it, tear it down, wateva, instead of Learning from it. IMHO .....
