I have the same truck and a 34’ 5W. It tows well at all speeds but the sweet spot for MPG for me is 63-65. I always use tow/haul regardless of speed.

Along with using the Tow/Haul mode, use the cruise control as the transmission will respond better shifting to maintain speed. The transmission controller in these transmissions are smarter than the slush boxes of yesteryear. About the only time you don't want to use cruise when towing is going up large/long grades.

I don’t usually like running cruise control when towing. The computer is frantic to maintain speed when there are any hills. I do use tow/haul when towing and works great. I’ve towed with and without it. Definitely better with tow/haul engaged. Powerband is always perfect and I didn’t notice a MPG difference.
