hey guys! 21 classic warlock crew cab sport hood. wondering if anybody else has the same problem or information on it.

the under hood skin is rubbing through the paint on the plastic that covers the top of the rad and the lights. ive had it off once to change the lights buts every thing seems tight. the hood seems well aligned and there is minimal hood shaking at high wind speed, there is a bit but it seems normal on these 4gs from what ive read.

thanks!

I had a similar problem on my '14. I fixed the paint with a shot of rattle can (Basic Black truck so it was easy) and covered the areas with paint protection film. It's held up for 5 years now.

Same thing on my 2019 classic. It's rubbed right town to bare aluminum (I think it's aluminum anyway). I've tried adjusting the bump stops, etc. Like you say, everything seems to fit fine. Not too loose. Not too tight.

You could swap to the earlier and shorter plastic cover,it doesn't go all the way across the top of the rad support.I don't know if you can find it new,but you might find a used one

I solved the problem by cutting the squares in the plastic rad cover around the hood bump stops into rectangles.

You can see on your pics where it rubs. Cut that part larger.
