I’m sure people asked this a million times but I need some serious opinions

I can get a 23 TRX for 80K msrp (level 1)86k with all fees and taxes
A rebel I built out was 73k msrp. Both factory orders. So close in price idk what to do. Normally would of just went with the rebel but since I actually found a dealer then is giving percent off the msrp it makes my decision harder. Yes I know gas is horrible but it is what it is. I don’t do off roading but both trucks would be just for around the house stuff and keeping my gear in (I’m a FF)

$73k for a Rebel seems ridiculous to me? It's not even in the same league as a TRX. With that said, I would not consider a TRX a daily driver either. Tough choice but given there is no way I would pay $73k for the rebel I would say choose the TRX.

Holy Crap my loaded out Limited MSRP was 72K in 2020. I know people do it but to DD a 10 MPG vehicle would be nuts to me.

Have you considered a Power Wagon?

providing no advice outside of your question, I would weigh only one thing. Is 140$ more per month worth having all the extras for you? If no, easy decision.

If yes, then I would recommend the TRX. Down here, they are selling for 105 all day. In TX, 105-110 all day. Fully loaded beautiful truck that will set you apart in the parking lot and create driveway envy, while being comfortable and endless options on the back end. Plus, if you decide to move on, the resale will be much stornger. Smaller target audience, but higher payout options.

Only other consideration i may consider is bed hight. If you use it a lot, especially for daily things, the higher they are the more annoying they are.

Something to consider is you can get the Rebel for 5-6% under invoice from multiple dealers, making the spread higher. I've zero use for the TRX, personally. It's not the cost, it's the tradeoffs. I'd rather have the Rebel with the larger gas tank for what I use a truck for, but everyone's use criteria is different.

I would get the Trx they won't be making v8 anymore so enjoy it. A guy I work with has one for his daily driver and loves it. I know he spent 89k for his

I'd buy a TRX in a heartbeat if I could afford it. That's my dream vehicle. Is it practical, no, but gas mileage be damned. I'd DD that thing no problem. I'd tow my 1500 to the track, run it, then unhook the TRX and beat the pants off of my own truck and 90% of the street cars. How much fun would that be!
Buy one and tell us all about it so we can live vicariously through you :Big Laugh:

When I was deciding. I went with Rebel. At the time, TRX was selling way over msp.

Still thinking about it, since 2023 will be last. Where I live all dealers have many TRX's in stock, but they are all with Level 1
and want msp. My Rebel has just about every option.

Many dealers around here are selling "used" TRX 2022 with level 2, other options. But all of them are asking crazy high prices.
example. dealer wants $140k CA with 25,000km.

If you were in my position would you pick the rebel still?

Everyone will give you a different answer, at the end of the day what will make you happy? you have to live with it/pay for it. I couldn't afford the TRX, I found a great dealership that built my truck for under MSRP. I have a loaded Rebel, with the G/T package, and honestly I would do it all over again. Great truck!

You can get a TRX for under MSRP as well, just have to order it like you did your Rebel. Buying directly off the lot you are going to pay more for any of them. Not a big difference in price between the 2 he is looking at (on the lot).

If you want it because it's powerful, buy it. If you want it because you think it looks better than a rebel, buy it. If you can afford it, buy it. If you can afford to fuel it, buy it. But for the love of all things holy, if you think it's a chick magnet, don't do it....Women could care less about what you drive. Think I'm kidding? The only people that will walk up to you and ask you, "Is that truck as badass as I hear?", will be men at gas pumps.

Another option is to look for a decent low mile Ram Minotaur! Looks like a TRX and IMHO is stronger built suspension and you can find them with a supercharged motor for around $50k. The one I found was even cheaper and only had 19k miles on it. I have even TRX owners asking me about my rig. Lol
