This is regarding the center console controls integration into the PX6, and the row of switches for heated seats/steering wheel.

Original configuration had two rows of switches, along with the a/c and fan controls.

For the installation, a new bezel with the 10" screen replaced the original bezel. The screen size displaced both rows of switches and a/c and fan controls.

The upper row of switches simply relocated to a different location in the new bezel, and used the same wiring plug. It did not integrate into the PX6 unit. Same with a/c and fan control module. Physical relocation, same plug. There is no capability to control these with the PX6 software. Perfect, moving on.

Problem is with the lower row with heated seat and steering wheel switches. There is no place to physically relocate it to on the new bezel.

The PX6 head unit came with integrated controls to manage heated steering wheel and heated seat. It also came with a single wire plug to connect to the wire loom. A single wire connection makes absolutely no sense to me.

When I try to activate the heated steering wheel or heated seat via the touchscreen, the software cycles from "Off" to "On", and then turns off after about three seconds. I'm assuming because, with one wire, it can't complete the circuit.

Has anyone else encountered this type of install roadblock? If so, how did you resolve it?

On these radios it's not really completing the circuit for things like that but more of sending and receiving messages to activate/read different modules on the CANBUS.

It could be a skew of things from incompatibility to wrong CANBUS module flashed or even the wrong trim level selected in the radio's menu.

I got into the set up menu and confirmed that it was set up for 2009-2012 Ram 1500. There are three levels-Low, Medium, High. With the info I can pull together, Low seems correct, which is where it is set. There aren't very many integrated controls. Steering wheel buttons all seem to function correctly. If I could find a physical place to put the OEM control module, I could use it as designed, ie, just push the button.

Are you sure they sent you the right parts? That is often one of the common complaints is that the received the kit for a different trim level and/or their kits don't account for every variation. If you see a kit online that shows the buttons moved and integrated for the T-Style radios, then you can likely get the seller to send the parts you need.

They required a picture of the center console ahead of time. Their own picture showed an install on a three seat Ram, with an identical lay out of mine. I asked the specific question in advance if they supported the heated seat and heated steering wheel. It seems both of us were doing due diligence...but, they are trying to be helpful. Also, I've contacted that guy with firmware, and he doesn't have firmware written for mine yet.

No help needed after all with the radio, the problem is not in the head unit. It's somewhere else in the truck. Disconnected the radio, reconnected the OEM switch unit, same problem. Now it's off to troubleshoot the trifecta of steering wheel and seats not heating. Yay!

As it turns out, I don't have a problem. Mods, if you want to delete this thread...so be it.
