Hello, i have ram 1500 2015 5.7 hemi with 133k kilometers on clock. After updating software about a year ago at the dealer the problems started. Car multimedia keeps rebooting and does not stay active over 4 seconds. Dealer said 700€ and they had to ship it abroad and i dont know what they would do. I think the problem is in software. Is there any way to install older software while its rebooting like that? Or is there other ways to fix it? Havent found any helpful information on google. Software version was something with 14.... cant access it fast enough when its rebooting like that. Software is probably European version thats why its so old. Offical uconnect site says that i dont have any new updates when i put in my vin code... any help would be appriciated.

My first answer would be the dealer broke it the dealer buys it but I know that's not how things are done everywhere.

That being said, I do have access to several European updates but wouldn't feel comfortable telling you what you need to flash as I'm not familiar with the model numbers. Here is what is available, maybe someone else can chime in and tell you what you need?

Thanks for your reply. I also found those online. Tried them both with 2 different flash drives. It will not start to install automatically. I even formatted flashdrive from FAT32 to NTFS (tried both ways with both flash drives) And it didnt work. And probably if they will work somehow then the headunit will restart before it can do anything...

So, I've had an RA4 stuck in a boot loop like this. I plugged my truck into a trickle charger and just let it try to update for a day or two. When I cane back to the truck it had recovered and worked again. This fix (if it works) will only work on a radio that recognizes a USB update is plugged in though.

I also recovered an RA3 that wouldn't recognize an USB was plugged in by bypassing the USB hub entirely and plugging the update USB directly into the back if the radio using this adapter.

Ignition has to be on "RUN" mode for few days? Thing is that nothing comes on my screen. Youtube videos said that i had to press OK for it to start updating (when that software update box comes on, but it doesnt)

Is the radio on at all? Anything displayed on screen? If not, there is a fuse to check between the battery and engine just in front of the brake booster on the drivers side.

Radio turns on sometimes for 4 seconds, then restarts then goes to first UCONNECT screen and then restarts again and active time is so random.

Have you ever taken the radio out of the vehicle or disconnected the battery to see if it resets?

I have not taken it out yet. But the battery terminal has been off over night and nothing changed. First time the hard reset (button combination) worked for few days and then it started doing it again and reset didnt help anymore.
*EDIT* Finally got the chance to get to as far as seeing my version number. Its 14.29.9 if it helps any way. I will try to take off the radio today to see if i have that socket you showed me and if i do then ill buy the adapter and try to update again.

Quick question, do you have a center seat in front instead of a console?

No, i have huge compartment over there. Its the Laramie version.
OK, I have had the radio restart because the wiring in my center seat was shorting when folded up which is why I asked. It could be worth trying to unplug the center console harness just to see if a short there is causing your resets too? For the jumpseat the harness is under the driver seat but I'm not sure if its the same for the center console. Disconnecting this will remove the USB hub and aux port from the radio wiring temporarily. If the radio stops resting you've isolated the problem (its a quick test too).
