Seeing that the order sheets are out for the 2023 HD I sure don't see anything big or exciting. Pretty much a 2022 with some small tweaks so it must be some sort of special edition with fancy graphics or something high speed like that......... If I had to guess I would say it's going to be a HD version of the "rebel" ... (yawn).

If they can't expand the distance between charges, they will lose customers.
For me that distance would have to be between 600 - 700 miles on a single charge.

They already lost me when they said they will drop the Eco-diesel.

If they were to drop the Quad Cab, they would lose me anyway.
I have absolutely no room for a longer truck.

I tow within 12 hours the 750 miles between Grand Junction, CO and Reno, Nevada several times per year. The route bypasses Delta, Utah, but goes through Ely, Nevada (population less than 8,000 of both towns combined). There's no infrastructure and no services for 99% of this route. For over 100 miles of mountainous road it has the longest stretch on the Interstate Highway System with No Services. This would be a good test track to prove that a Ram EV can work in rural regions.

Have you ever been to a cross road out in the middle of no where. When you get there, you see a run down building with 2 gas pumps, a sign that reads snacks & another that read Post Office.
Not a single person in site & a small sign that reads CALL this number for service, you now know that you are out in the sticks.

Where is the EV Charging Station ?

Looks like they took the pumps out now.

I have not been back in that area for about 6 years
We had to deliver double wide mobile homes & some water tanks for people that like to be isolated

I'm betting the hood is just a cosmetic change, I can't see a new engine at this point given the state of the world (supply chain/part issues/economy).
Looks cool though.

The one thing the PW desperately needs is a larger fuel tank.....

I don't know seems to me they're stuffing a Hellcat motor in anything they can in preparation of discontinuing them...

I disagree with the author's statement "give it a much needed power boost..."
I think the 6.4 offers plenty of power. Yes it gives up a little to the Tremor but it's a whole liter bigger motor with the gas mileage to show for it...
Meh. Its almost a **** (oh my gosh…i will spell it backward - drut) in my opinion. My half ton with the 5.7 almost feels twice as peppy as my power wagon. The 6.4 works for the power wagon, but man it could sure stand to have some more power in my opinion.

According to some of the other auto blog sites it's just a hood. Called the "Performance Sport Hood" and will be available on the PW, Laramie Sport/Night Edition, and Limited Night Edition HD trucks.

Time will tell though....

I don’t think it’s high enough production volume to really change it. I wonder what isthe next gas motor in the 2500. I haven’t even heard of any rumors what’s next. Maybe they’ll run the 6.4 for a looooong time. Or maybe they’re just going to keep 6.4 and make leap to electric and diesel for HD
