I added T-Rex style lights to my hood and an amber light behind the Ram emblem.
The hood lights installed quickly, I cut holes in the weather stripping that is between the hood and grill, fed the wires through the weather stripping and through the hood to the hood hinge and then back to the fuse box. The lights are held in place by the weather stripping and a little black silicone.

The emblem was a mess of trial and errors. I started with 1/4" plexiglass that I cut and routed to replace the original black background of the emblem. The plan was to replicate the OEM part and tint it so you wouldn't see the lights if they were off. However, I struggled getting it to fit how I wanted it to and changed my mind and decided to use some tinted corrugated plastic. I'm happy with the outcome, I do need to touch up a couple of small details with the overall seal of the light. I ran out of glue just before finishing so there a couple of spots that are thinner than I want.
I'm also planning on muting my chrome with some pray tint in the near future.

That’s actually a great idea. Looks good

Got another package in the mail today.

Bought a set of black quad rear door panels from Forum member NapaRam. I’ve never received a package packed so well. He went well above anything expected. :waytogo:

Of course I had to install them today as well. I’m really liking the ‘black’ conversion.

Next up…… spray the remaining trim pieces from shoulder height to the headliner. After that, it’s time to tackle swapping out the dash for the leather one…….. stay tuned :waytogo:

That cleaned up nice! The dash is something I would like to see pictures of removing.

I’ll do a much more detailed post with pics on the dash. Definitely learned a few tricks etc removing it from the donor Ram. I didn’t feel it was difficult, but is time consuming. That’s why I want to plan a few days to do so.

I put all new front brakes onto the truck, in my own stupidity I kept driving my truck even after hearing grinding coming from the brakes when I had parts ordered, ended up with new front calipers, rotors, and pads on the front from max brakes Canada, heed my stupidity and check your brakes and change them before they're screwed View attachment 502752View attachment 502753View attachment 502750

Glad it happened while you were changing them out and not heading downhill :waytogo:

Well technically it happened on the tim Gorton's drive through, less than a km from my house, so FIL had CAA and got it towed home for free, didn't want to risk major damage to other components that weren't already broken

I knew yes, I seen the window sticker. Just haven’t had a chance to trip the bed liner. Learning to deal with a disabled dominant hand keeps me from trying it alone so I’ve waited for my son.

Gotcha…….. I ask because it would suck to cut into it, and then find otherwise. :waytogo:

Cracks me up to see someone would put a drop in bedliner over awesome bedlights.
The bed liners for the 6.5ft bed fit 3rd and 4th gens, so a lot of them probably don't have the cut out. The bed rug I put in my truck was the same way. Had to cut out around the lights.

Yeah I get that, but I'm under the impression a dealer installed it and didn't cut out the holes for the customer. Maybe I expect too much.
