Good morning. We own a '19 Longhorn Laramie 2500, Hemi, Pearl White, with Ram Boxes (RB). We also travel full time pulling a '21 Airstream Classic.
When i bought the truck i was pleased with the RBs but now that we have been traveling full time for the past year and plan to continue for the next couple years I am finding a need more storage inside the truck. I currently have the Diamondback tonneau cover, which is good but I also use a bed slide so I am loosing valuable space.
How difficult would it be to swap the bed with a non-RB bed so I can then have a cap installed? Has anyone done this before? Suggestions? I would keep the bed with RBs as is but no one makes a cap for a RB bed.
Thanks
Jerry

Actually, there are rambox toppers. You might just be interested in this...

As far as swapping to a traditional bed, it should be straight forward. Swapping from a traditional bed to a rambox bed would be more involved.

Wish our trucks were the same color (and year) I'd swap you! My needs have changed and want to try the ramboxes now.

This gentleman went the other way, but it looks pretty straightforward. Read thru the thread to get an idea what he went through. Sadly, he passed away not too long ago.
