Outside door handle trim cover removable?

I want yo change my door handles and I notice it looks like its just a cover on the door handle? Does anyone know if you can remove this?

Yo be clear i am talking about the handle you pull to open the door. Looks to be a plastic cover kn it

I'll step in as I'm looking to do the same thing, I think.

2014 Ram 1500. Bought a set of proximity handles from a 2017 for $50. Not the PX8 my truck is but got the harness with em too. Couldn't pass it up. Plan to take them apart, cover as well, and paint em myself.
