Anyone try one of these kits on a 4th gen?

Has anyone attempted to put this 45 degree adapter on a 4th gen?
Without crawling under the truck, I think that there is enough room.
I don't have the oil cooler so I don't have that to worry about.

Ok, I crawled under and removed the filter. I have to pull the harness retainer out of the one bolt hole, run a tap through the 3 holes, remove the oil filter nipple - but it looks like it should fit without any issue.
Hopefully one day this week I will get to it.

This might be the best $89 I have spent yet.

Thanks! I am surprised more people haven't done it with all of the complaining people do about the filter location.
I can reach the stock location alright, just tired of the mess it makes.

Many sites are showing it as discontinued.

I have one on my 2012. It's better than the OEM location, but only by a little.

If you hvae an extra $89 go for it. I don't regret mine, but I wouldn't do it again.

I have the lifetime maxcare warranty and am hoping since it is a Mopar part that it won't void the warranty and will make the oil changes just a bit cleaner.

I thought about this but still feel like filter location is still poor and will make a mess. I would do a full relocate if I did it.

Also now that the filter is at 45 you can’t really prefill it in a change.

I dunno. I prefill my filter when I change it, and I've got the adapter. Maybe I don't get it 100% full, but it is well north of 50% full.
