I hope you were able to get packed up and home before the storm hit.

Thanks - yes, we made it home, parked and unhooked before the rain. We'll definitely go back there. It is similar to one of our favorite campgrounds, Driftstone on the Delaware in Mt Bethel Pa. Nice and quiet. Thanks again for the tip. One more trip planned, leaving next weekend for Ramblin' Pines campground in Md for the week. Plan on hitting the Baltimore Aquarium and the B&O Railroad museum.

We are done camping for this season. We usually head out for the last time for Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend but that is not happening this year.

My wife's dad has been having some health issues and has been in the hospital for the last couple of weeks and will be there a few more weeks. He just turned 91. He lives in another city so my wife has been wearing out the highway between here and Edmonton (3 hour drive one way). Camping out of cell phone range just isn't in the cards right now.

Something that happened when camping was the truck wouldn’t start on Sunday 60km in the bush lucky I had my little generator and battery charger plus 2 12 volt battery’s to power my little heater it was an optima battery so I thought it would last longer but not so much

If you think I was grumpy when the truck wouldn’t start I was the look of concern on the missus didn’t help lol but when I got it started I was a hero and more than a little relieved

Camping weekend is here again but this time it's bitter sweet. It's the last one of the year. We're at our usual campground in our usual spot. It's the one in my sig pic. This weekend the highs are going to be around 65 to 70 and lows are 45 to 50. Perfect campfire weather.

I may still get another trip in this year but for now I am draining and winterizing due to freezing cold tomorrow night. I just blow it out so it isn't hard to get it back if I want to use it again.

we cut our season short this year.we were having issues with the grey water dump valve.ie: it was never installed,so it went in for service a couple weeks ago and still waiting.so i called them a couple days ago and told them to go ahead and winterize it while it's still there.too bad,it's been sunny and warm.my docks were pulled and the boats were winterised before a bad windstorm hit and now it's beautiful out.:doh2:,so we've been using the electric fishing kayaks.we have snow on the way very soon,so...
