My Ram 2004 2500 5.7 has a non pressurized coolant reservoir # 52028836AB....needs replaced. All I can find is a dual washer fluid / coolant reservoir that doesn't look like it would fit and a pressurized tank that looks like it would fit. Oem is discontinued, I'm seeing a lot of conflicting part fitments for after market...any ideas? 20220721_121508.jpg

My 1500 5.7L has the same tank and I recently found a crack in it. I for the life of me cannot find a replacement, outside of a used one on eBay. Please tell me you found one somewhere?

I have a 2004 1500 with 5.7 and it has the same NON pressurized coolant reservoir (52028836AB) as the OP. After some research I've found that the early trucks could have came with this setup but it was replaced with a setup that combines the coolant reservoir and washer fluid reservoir into one unit (5072595AA, 55056502AC). Both of these parts have been discontinued by Mopar, and only the combo unit is available "new" in the aftermarket, Dorman 603-092. If your truck came with the smaller stand alone unit, you can replace it with the combo unit. If you look on your fan shroud there are unused mounting holes. Also note that this is only for 2004 and newer trucks. Apparently the older 3rd gens 2002, 2003, used a pressurized coolant reservoir (black top) and is not interchangeable with the later years.

IIRC HOAT coolant was used until 2011 then they went to OAT coolant, Zerex GO5 is a very good HOAT coolant to use in your 2007 just be sure to use distilled water of you don't buy the 50/50 premixed...

13 or 14 or at least. I wanna say 14 or 15 was the changeover year. My 12 uses HOAT.

It works out nicely for me since between the 03, the 05 and the 12 I don't have to keep separate coolant on hand lol.
