I ordered a Ram Laramie 3500 Mega Cab on January 16, 2022, on June 27th it was Built.
As of September 8th, Ram Care or the Dealership was know idea when it will be shipped. TBD
Does anybody know what the scoop is?
My truck should be in my shop, bot exposed to the elements.
I can almost see the Federallys enjoying their new Mega cab with a machine gun mounted in the back.
They should be built in the USA
RAM needs to send a convoy of transport trucks and bring our TRUCKS home....

The dealer sales manager knows within 12 hours, just where your Ram is, the sales person that did your paperwork, does not have access, he has to ask the Boss

The other way is Rams Tracking System

I am getting absolutely nothing from Ram Customer Care. It is now going on 3 months since my truck was built, now we are getting into the Hurricane season, i am worried about damage from storms. Does anyone know how they are stored after they have been completed?
I am not getting any help from the dealer. I asked if maybe they could throw in a set of mud flaps and was denied. No extras. If I could find another new Mega Cab I would go buy it. No Mega Cabs to be found anywhere.
I was told by the dealer on August 7th, that my truck would be on the next train out of Mexico. The dealer received some new Rams last week. My truck was not on it....WTF.....

They are saying the rail strike has been adverted for now. Let's hope. Parker my timeline is almost identical to yours. Ordered 1/31, it was built 6/14 & has been sitting there ever since! Unfortunately they are parked in a large open parking lot. You can use google maps & zoom in to see the plant in Mexico. It is a very large plant with very large multiple parking lots. Doesn't seem to be no rhyme or reason why some folks are getting their trucks before others. At first I thought it might be cause I ordered a sun roof. Later found out some guy that ordered after mine had a sun roof to. I got it in Delmonico Red... shirley that is not the hold up. I have heard they lump like colored trucks together going down the assembly line but I am sure there has been plenty of maroon trucks painted down there since I ordered. I was told they were running about a 3-4 month lead time when I ordered mine. I was hoping it was going to make it before camping season. Well now I am hoping it will make it before NEXT camping season! Thankfully I have a good running truck I can drive in the meantime. Some people had major plans for their truck after delivery. With some having to cancel plans due to the hold up.

My highly optioned Ltd Longhorn was built like 3 weeks ago and is in the "shipped" status on the Mopar tracking tool. But I doubt it's actually been shipped, given recent history. I figure I'll see it in November sometime. I'm not going to chase it around though. I can't change whatever the eventual date is going to be, so no sense putting any effort into tracking it. It is what it is. I knew when I ordered the truck it could be 6-9 months.

it's crazy that a vehicle ordered the first of the year would not show up till the year is almost over and the next model year vehicles are coming out.

I finally got an answer from Ram. The transport driver that delivers the factory to the railroad wants more $$. So Ram is sending a convoy of car haulers to Mexico to get them from the factory and delivered to the trains and ports to get them delivered. After being in Built status for almost 3 months, Ram finally realized that there is a problem. They went from 2500 trucks waiting to be shipped to 6500 trucks waiting. I even received a special phone number to call. Not Ram Customer (we don't)Care Team. Hopefully I will see my truck in my shop before the end of the year...
The dealership still not even willing to give me a set of mud flaps for the delay. RAM should be giving up 0% for 60 months on the HD trucks that were stuck in stupid, do to poor Management decisions for waiting soo long to do something about it.
Ram needs to at least set us up with a used truck until our trucks get delivered. I sold my old Ram in August, expecting my truck to be here soon. Being down to one vehicle really sucks. I have had to rent a uhaul 2 times. My camper never got out of my shop once. Now the summer is gone.
Hopefully my Ram Laramie Mega cab will be in my shop soon.

That is quite the BS story, maybe some will believe it

Every one of the Ram Plants, Warren & Sterling Heights Michigan & Saltillo Mexico all load the freight cars right on the property.
Even the Body Vendors building is on the property in Saltillo Mexico & Sterling Heights Michigan.
At the Warren Michigan Plant, the Body Vendor has its shop 8 miles from Plant, the Rams built at the Warren Plant are trucked to the Body Vendor & then trucked back to the Plant to be loaded on a freight car

.............................................
here is a crazy fact
Stellantis manufactured 37,443 vehicles in Mexico during July 2022

Could I please have that special phone number. I ordered my 3500 Longhorn Mega Cab back in December originally, built in June and still waiting. I ordered it through Military Auto Source and they have been completely useless, not just with no information at all but also never answering phone calls and emails... had to do a BBB complaint just to get an answer at all. Anyway, Ram customer service is useless also, so this "special" number has me quite excited.

Hope you have luck with it.
They should offer a 0 interest for 60 months for this BS
It seems like there should be some kind of compensation for the delay.
What did BBB have to say about it?
Add up the interest on everyones down payments

According to ram there is a recall on the ECM of my new truck that is still in Mexico go. ECMs are not available at this time it's this time for my truck so they told me that it will remain in Mexico until an ECM has been replaced.

According to the dealer the ECM will be replaced when it it gets to the dealership.

Ram customer care did not have any answer in regards to that it will be fixed when it is delivered.

My truck needs to get out of Mexico and and shipped to the dealer, so at least it has not been hit by hail storms and hurricanes in Mexico.

Again they had emailed the grandmentor mentor and said they will be contacting me any day via email.

I will probably see the email right after Santa Claus slides down the chimney, Right?

That is going to affect a lot of new trucks that were Built-in that time frame.
The least ram could do is send it out an email in regards to what is happening. It's called an old fashioned thing called courtesy.

I agree, just acknowledgement and open communication would go a long way... in this case I direct that toward RAM and MAS.

So I only put $500 down and did not finance it because I was going to pay outright. With these delays though, I have withheld payment because why would I give them money for something that no one can tell me when it will be here. I would like some kind of compensation but so far the only thing offered to me was MAS offering to pay like $500 or so for rental reimbursement. That is pathetic because my "guaranteed" delivery date was 17 August and my wife drives me everywhere because $500 wouldn't scratch the surface of the rental costs.

BBB doesn't actually 'say' anything, they are just a conduit, that relays messages and then posts them for public viewing. I send in the complaint, the business has so long to reply and then I get 6 days to respond to their reply and so on. If a solution is not found, BBB will deduct points from the companies BBB score.

My next option, after a little research, is either to file a complaint with my states Consumer Protection Agency and/or the Federal Trade Commission. Specifically, I want to file these against MAS rather than RAM.... but if RAM is communicating as much with MAS as MAS is with me.... then maybe there should be a complaint again both of them.

Last option would probably be a real lawsuit against one or both of them for, for example, breaking contract (a few different ways), false statements, and there has to be something about them completely ignoring their paying customers. I think I've been very patient with them and I'm honestly pretty tired of it, by price MAS is the best option for me and how much of a pain is it worth to save a few K?

Did you check your VIN for recalls? I just searched RAM 3500 recalls and it told me about an ABS recall but only for ones build before March 2022. Then I went to mopar.com and searched the VIN and it says there are no recalls... I wonder if that's true and they haven't reported the recall or if it's just a line to keep you happy.

I too am waiting on my 3500 ram limited. Shipping status TBD and has been built since Aug 2 it says. It originally had an estimated shipping date of Sept 25th now it says nothing. To not even have a time frame and to not be able to give your customers a straight answer on why the trucks been just sitting and what's going on for a 6 figure truck makes me want to never buy a ram again. I told my dealer if ram can't lock in the current 0%apr and 750 loyalty cash for what's going on I won't be proceeding with the deal. Was told he will ask this coming Monday

FCA can only do so much being they don't own or control the railroad company who btw laid off a bunch of workers due to the virus, the ones who are still working work don't work too fast, also RR will only hire some laid off workers back at lower wages thus a worker shortage, the worker shortage also affects how soon rail cars get emptied & sent back to MX to be filled again....

you could always just cancel it and go buy a ford.
I hear their wait times are anywhere from 8-12+ months.
rumours they still have 40,000-50,000 still sitting in lots.

I was told the other day that 23000 ram trucks are built, and due to the lack of trains they are now trucking them to the East Coast across hurricane seas to deliver them to the East Coast to go by train to the West Coast.
They hope to get the delayed rams delivered by the end of the year.

Not the news I was waiting for...
How do they expect to stay in business?

August 8, I was told that my truck will be on the next train out. He might as well have told me that the trains in Mexico are stuck in a blizzard. If Ram Customer Care really cared, they would at least send out emails and let us know that they do have a plan and do something about it
