Well that’s disappointing

I was not making that up, I just got it from the RAM brochure. I even
question if there is a 23 gallon tank.......
Prove it......it does not exist....
Haha...is this a joke? The 2020 Laramie I owned had a 23 gallon tank. Sure, I'll humor you. Want proof? Here's a screen capture from the build sheet for that truck, and I've also included the complete build sheet in case you think I just made that up...

All of the new designed DT Rams 1500's were standard 23 gallon unless optioned out to 26, tho I have read the ED's got 23 standard still installed. MY 19 has Optional 26 Gallon tank.

It isn't that cut and dry actually. It was dependent on model and options. For instance, standard tank size on all Limited's is 26 gallons. Other things such as cab configuration and engine choice also come into play. And there's also the optional 33 gallon tank. Of course, I'm referring to pre-2023 and early 2022 models. I don't have any experience with the standard features and options on late 2022 and 2023 models. The parts shortages seem to change those on a regular basis.

BOIRD wishes he had a 33 gallon tank, but alas, 26 better than 23. Everybody I know who has a Bighorn/Lonestar trim has the optional 26 gallon. But yup, all depends upon supply, builds, options, etc etc etc. Now if we can just get FCA to set all the gas gauges correct, lmao.

The standard size tank for the Bighorn is the 26, 33 is optional.
That is for the 5.7, not sure about the V-6, nobody orders that engine.....

Hybrids have been around for years with gains for having them. Just sounds like some guys don't like change and that's fine. Just admit that.

If I were buying a new truck, I'd get the eTorque and not worry about it.
It's got an 8 year warranty though I think it should be 10.
Do you even understand what this version of "hybrid" is? The etorque is the about as far from being a hybrid as you can get and still technically get credit for being able to use the term. If they'd use the system from the Jeep 4xe at least that'd be a true hybrid. The etorque is nothing more than a gimmick to get an epa credit. Not only is it insignificant as far as real world mpg's, it can also prevent the truck from operating if it fails. Warranty or not, waiting a month or so for parts to fix an unwanted "option" on your truck is no fun.
So, I've been on the fence about ordering a new truck. Knowing the etorque is now mandatory for the 1500's, I can remove it from my list of possible new trucks.

You can do what you want, as I have mentioned on here, that is why
I traded my 2020 for a new 2022 that was on the dealer lot. They are
out there. I just wanted the 5.7 w/o etorque.

“Plus, the glove box features a UV light that kills bacteria. You can activate it on the center console, which will run for three minutes to clean your keys, phone, and more.”

Saw this while reading Motor Biscuit article on 2023 RAM Limited Elite features. Didn’t realize that germophobes were a sizeable part of the truck market.

^^^ That's just plain, funny. Either someone at Ram did it as a joke. SMH.

Yes, people do order the V6 w/ etorque and a 33 gallon tank.
Mostly because I never toe and I wanted good gas mileage awirh distance, unfortunately it seems the V8 gets better gas mileage than the V6. I have a 16 miles per gallon.

I have a Ram built awaiting shipping and this warranty thing has me concerned, so I did some checking and this is what I found:

Though non-Mopar sites say the e-Torque and power pack are covered by the 8/80 emissions warranty, I cannot find anything Mopar that confirms that. You guys have heard the rumors and stories, no need to repeat them.

I contacted the dealer and waiting for a response. I chatted with Mopar Customer Service and he said he could not find any power pack warranty information and told me to contact the dealer. I asked him if I could escalate the request for information and he abruptly ended the chat.

I called Ram customer service and asked, and the rep took about 10min to research it and came back and said it was an electrical component covered under the basic 3/36 warranty.

Not liking how this is looking.

B. PARTS COVERED FOR EIGHT YEARS OR 80,000 MILES If your vehicle has one of the following parts, this Federal Emission Warranty covers that part for a period of eight years or 80,000 miles, whichever occurs first, calculated from the start of the Basic Limited Warranty as set forth in “section 2.1 E”. The covered parts are:

• Power Pack Unit (PPU) 48 Volts — 3.6L, 5.7L With BSG
• Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

Trying to attach the warranty booklet. (Hope it works)

I thought he went back to Ceti Alpha V. Then I remembered he was incorporated into the new planet that was created when he detonated the Genesis device aboard Reliant. :33:
How come Spock was “reborn”on the planet and Kahn wasn’t ?

YES, IT WORKED!!!

This is the first solid documentation I have seen anywhere!!! THANKS!!!

Though mine is a 22, I hope it is the same. I cannot access a Warranty Manual on the Mopar site as I am not yet the owner. That pri*k at Customer Service said he checked the 22 Warranty book and it did not say. I asked him for a link or doc to the Warranty book (twice) and he did not provide it. Pri*k.

I now have hope and will try to contact them again. If it has the 8/80, I will be happy! (Not as happy as if I I got the non-eTroque I hoped for, but as happy as could be expected now.)

Thanks again!!!

Thanks a bunch for the help but as you may have seen on the other forum the battery pack in the 22 is not covered by the 8/80. Damn.

If they weaseled out of the 8/80, I really need to think if I can trust Ram and the battery. Crap!

YW. I assume you are correct. IF not already done, I'd verify it in the 2022 warranty guide. Separate document from the truck manual.

(Not trying to be insulting. Just covering all the bases.)

Time permitting, walk into a Ram dealership and ask to see the warranty book.

If the sales goof refuses, ask to see the sales manager, general manager, etc.

I would not take no for an answer.

Still trying to find one, I down't own it do I can't access the owners site, Ram chat didn't provide a link, dealer came up empty so I asked again. Dealer is 600mi away. I emailed Ram a request for it and I'll try another chat today.

If there are any 22 owners that can access the pdf on the owners site I'd appreciate a pdf of the "2022 Ram 1500 Warranty Information - Gas Vehicles" if it exists, thanks.
