Looking at getting a set of rear springs for my '17 quad cab.

My goal is to prevent the horrible sag from the stock springs when I load the bed up.

I was debating between TufTruck 1223V or the McGaughy rear drop springs. I know they are both progressive, and I know the "stiffer" part of 1223V provides a much stiffer spring than the stockers to prevent sag.

But its hard to find similar info on the McGaughys....has anyone used them and does it help prevent some of the sag? I realize they are already 2 inches lower, and probably putting any amount of weight in the bed will make the truck look like its sagging, but was curious if their stiffer portion is equal to stock, stiffer than stock, etc.

Thanks in advance.

This is with the Mcgaughys 2" lowering springs and about 500lbs in the bed. It sagged about a quarter to half inch with that weight. Still rode like stock and even did fine pulling trailers up to about 2 tons. I'd recommend some helper bags if you are worried about sagging. I didn't have them until I got my 2/4 drop a few weeks ago.ee59651addea38d260246a7b146a95ea.jpg

Is that with the 2” lowering springs out back? What size tires were you running? Just ordered my 2” lowering springs!

Thanks for this post. I’ve been pondering the 2”drop on the rear. Just level it with out the 2” lift kit. I run 20” rims with the same size tires as the factory ones for winter. During the summer I swap over to 22” after market rims/tires Have to load photos
