I have broken enough or seen it broken to know that nothing is indestructible I get your point the pws are tough my point is that everything can break so to spend money on tough parts is better than a tow say from the Yukon to Edmonton and even heavy duty stuff can be broken I run heavy equipment for a living I have seen and done all sorts of dumb stuff

I am "old School" I like having freewheeling hubs. even though our trucks have the axle disconnect everything still rotates to some extent. Someone posted a link to the Ram-Man units. I do not recommend them; I went with them basically because I got lazy, and they were a real easy install. The good, yes Ford hub bearings and Warn hubs (an option). The bad, the OEM wheel sensor would on occasion not like the Ford Hub tone ring, and would cause the ABS to engage even on light braking. 2. the axle stub would move around, and IMHO cause a front vibration. And on the passenger side it would be extremely difficult to engage the hub when the axle stub moved outward towards the hub. 3. I removed them after 6 months and now I am out $1700!!! Real world fuel savings about 1/2 MPG.
