Hello, this is my first post after doing some searches and not finding exactly what I'm looking for (apologies if this exact info is out there somewhere and I missed it). I have a 2013 RAM 1500 Sport Crew Cab - Hemi 5.7 - with factory projector headlights (see pic). I'm looking to replace them, on somewhat of a budget due to condensation. I was looking at these: https://www.americantrucks.com/ram1...lights-black-housing-smoked-lens-9036736.html

I was wondering if I could use this adapter to make them work with my factory projector lights: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273509302036

I pretty much drive during the day, or in well lit areas at night, so I am looking for a smoke lens.

If you have any other links or ideas please share!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Those are a downgrade to the stock lights. If you want smoked, have your stockers tinted for a lot less. A lot of the aftermarket stuff can’t really touch a stock headlight with a HID kit for performance and if you want max then do a projector swap.

Definitely avoid smoked housings. The output even with a good hid or led will be far less than stock with halogens. If you're wanting a simple swap and are happy with the look of the stock projectprs, these are an option. I've been running them well over 6 months now and have been very pleased with them. They fit and function exactly like OEM and will plug right into your OEM plugs.

Did you get the T2 led bulbs as an option or your own?

Take the OE ones apart and reseal them? Probably the cheapest option too. AVS makes black covers for headlights that you could just take off at night. Not sure how good they are.

I had oem quads and was full of water, tried 2 aftermarket smoked housings and both got moisture, then 2 years ago got those alpharex first release headlights and added Hikari led low beams, been over 2 years now and the setup has been flawless(never get any moisture, love the cutoff, can actually see driving and gives truck more modern look, only issue is left turn led sets off random light out which my outdoorsman wasn't led from factory, I have alpha obd but afraid to change settings lol, but I get compliments on my 13 Ram front end look all the time. Added drl fogs a couple days ago and really liking them, looks agressive at night. Never have been flashed, before with quads could hardly see at night.
