I am looking to replace my worn stock tires with Firestone Transforce 285/60R20. I spoke with Firestone about it and they told me that my ride would be noticeably rougher. Can anyone here advise me if they have made this swap and how much it effects their 1500 ride??

The reason it’ll be firmer is higher sidewall stiffness. It won’t be extremely different. If you can find an XL rated or C rated tire may be better. I’m on 35x12 but mine are E rated just like the transforce you are looking at. It was definitely slightly stiffer for me over the stock tires. Why are you looking at a larger size over stock.
Also another point to mention is fuel economy will drop with the heavier tires

I swapped to Lexani 285/60R20 (Load E). The ride is a little rougher on these tires, but they are far better than the factory tires in terms of the mileage I will get out of them and rain/snow traction. If you can find tires that are Load C or Xl they should be a smoother ride.

Are you still liking your Lexani tires? Thinking of upgrading to 285s. Any regrets moving to 285s?

Still liking them. I've put roughly 30k miles on them and still have a ton of tread left. No issues balancing. I'll probably stick with 285s going forward.

I switched mine to BFG KO2 at 285/60r20 and it's smooth as glass. Absolutely quiet.
