Started a Thread over in the Interior area to continue with the Dash Swap…..

Cleaning of the main frame and applying Protectants to the various parts. Also began minor disassembling of the current dash to make the full swap over easier.

You have such an opportunity to add things while you are doing this. Do you have any thought as to what you might do?

When I set out on this mod, I gave it a lot of thought but at the end ….the goal was to install a black dash and have it finished seamlessly.

Im content with radio and AC, so nothing really there to change, though I did some preventative maintenance while it was opened up.

The issue Id have going to more of an ‘iPad’ set up would be down a rabbit hole I’d rather avoid without getting into changing out ‘the brains’ etc. If I had a 2013 or later, it might be a future mod to prep for, but keeping it simple has a lot to be said about it too.

Did the cabin filter mod to my 2012. AC and heater core was replaced about three months ago and it was recommended. Finally got around to it. The filter addition appeared to subdue the overall air noise coming from the blower when on high.

Have a sharp cutting tool that you are comfortable using... :) Watch for nearby wires and don't slip!

Dremel worked like ‘butter’ when I did mine

Oil change and did a power steering fluid partial change. I didn't take off the hose, just drained and filled the reservoir, worked the system lock to lock about a dozen times, repeated twice, then filled one last time. Fluid looked clean and there were no issues, just figured I'd freshen it up while I was under the hood.

The driver's seat bottom in my 2010 was showing its age and use after 190K - finally got around to replacing it. Has a few wrinkles from being folded up in the box, but didn't come out too bad, I'm happy with it, guess that's all that matters

I could see adding some blue lights underneath that come on with the mirror puddle lights. Then again maybe white like the puddle lights . Hhmmm.

These are not wired in yet, haven't decided when they will be on.

Got it safetied - needed rotors all around and e-brake. Removed mud flaps (they were in nasty shape), did the 3rd brake light fix, tightened fog light assembly and broke the fog bulb connecter :) Tried to install old-man bed step but no go with dual exhaust.
