I wonder if anyone over on the 5th gen rams site has heard anything.

I think they have some one on the inside at headquarters or the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant

Has anyone made it past D status on their 2023 order? I ordered a 23 Ram Rebel 1500 on Sept 5 and I got a vin and D status a few weeks ago but haven't received an update since

Don't quote me, but I think I saw somewhere on this forum (or a different one) that new builds were not going to start until after the first week of Nov. So, personally, I am not expecting any updates until at least mid November.

Why is my dealer trying to charger 1,095$ for the multi gate when some build sheets I see 995$ did the price go up 100$ already?

I made the build using the 2022 options on the RAM site and sent it to the dealers. The quotes they sent back were almost the same MSRP price on the website for 2022 for most options, however a few things had gone up in price. The duotone paint option for e.g for hydro blue is listed as $100, but on the quote sheet was listed as $200. (note the other two options for duo tone were $200, not sure why they Hydro blue on the website is $100).

I got two quotes for my build a month ago, one was 4% below invoice and the other was at invoice(~ 6% below MSRP). At both price points, options were below MSRP. I didn't get the multi function tailgate, so I don't know the exact price.
This doesn't really answer your question, and I just want to throw out that there are a few price variations, and if worried about the price, I would reach out to other dealers and get an alternate quote.

The first notices for being at D1 should be coming in any day now, if some have not already come in

November 1 is a Tuesday, why would they start production with a Partial week
November 7 is a Monday

They will likely close down operations on December 16th or 23rd
Then open on January 2nd

So should we even dream of getting any truck this year ?

The Sterling Heights assembly plant is where the new 5th Generation Ram 1500s are built.
Once they start up the line, a new Ram will come off the line every 10 minutes or less
It will take 30 hours for each Ram 1500 to be assembled

I have not read anything about how many shifts they would run, or if they will run a 6 day week & if they will have Rotating Shifts

December 5th, they will begin production of the 4th Generation Ram Classic 1500 at the Warren Michigan Assembly Plant
In 2019, the had a new Ram 1500 come off the assembly line every 7 minutes & it took 16 hours to complete each Ram

The Heavy Duty Rams are built down in Saltillo Mexico

2500 (DJ) / 3500 (D2/DD/DF) Pickup
production begins on November 1 ??

4500/5500 Chassis Cab (DP) are already in production

I ordered a Rebel GT. I have a VON from my order acceptance e-mail from Ram and a VIN from my dealer.

My dealer said 2023 production should start “soon”.

Does anyone have a more specific reply from their dealer or elsewhere as to when 2023 Rebel production will begin?

Has anyone been notified that their build has been scheduled?

Thanks

Salesman called and said order was canceled because graphite metallic is no longer an option, he advised that the Ram 1500 Rebel is now only available in white, black, flame red and delmonico red. Can anyone confirm this? I have a hard time believing that silver, graphite and hydro blue are no longer color options for the Rebel package. Considering graphite and hydro blue are a majority of what I see here in Georgia a side from black, of course. Thanks for any input from dealer or factory folks.

Since you guys are waiting for D1 status on a 2023 order, I’m wondering what will happen to my 2022 Longhorn order I placed on August 5th.
I was put in the schedule (D) maybe a few weeks or so after the initial order, but no news since.
It’s a highly optioned 1500, except for the 22” wheels and sunroof. Maybe the air ride suspension is holding it up as I’ve seen quite a few Limiteds and Longhorns without the air ride.
Been slightly over 3 months, starting to not even care if I ever get it. Love my ‘18 2500, just wanted to go back to gas engine as I don’t need to drive that much anymore.

My order hasn’t been cancelled and I have ordered a two tone billet silver

Latest news ??
Stellantis published a new Sterling Heights production calendar on 10/7/22.
The '23 MY production start has been moved from Thursday 11/10 to Monday 11/14. The plant is not scheduled to work on Friday 11/11. The table below shows recent calendar release dates as well as planned SOP timing with each release.
Timing has changed again to 11/15

maybe they forgot January 1 ??
==========================
There are rumors that if a person ordered a 2022 Ram 5th Gen & it was not built, that they may receive a 2023 5th Gen, but it will NOT have the '23 Ram upgrades. It will be a 2022 with a 2023 Paperwork.

Both the 2022 & 2023 are almost identical
one of the noticeable differences will be the Instrument Panel, (EVIC)

I think we won’t see any 2023 models coming out until end of January / beginning February.

Actually, Stellantis is way behind on the 2022 Ram 1500 5th Gen factory orders
So catching up on those orders, could be delaying 2023 Production

The differences between the 2022 & 2023 5th Gen Ram 1500s are minor, mostly an EVIC change

I don't think that there is a rush to begin production
Have you seen anything new about the 2023 Ford & Chevy ?
Unless those 2 companies start production, is there a reason for Ram to rush to production ?

Ben Hardy's speculation - https://youtu.be/IW5nNVjhoUA
summary : Ram delaying 2023 to clear lots of 2022 stock.
it's speculation FWIW.
More speculation from a local dealer I spoke to : "2023 1500 Ram's have marginal differences from 2022, so not much changes required to the production line, so they will be able to churn them out faster"

There is one major difference with the 23's. The 5.7 Hemi is available only
as an e-torque. That is a no-go for me and others.
That is why I found a 22 the way I liked. Dealers now have 22 stock on hand, so
if you are in a hurry, why wait for a 23.
You may find a better price also, trying to clear out current inventory.
