Union and rail companies never went on strike or skipped a beat. They came to an agreement before the strike happened of a 25% pay increase over the next 4 years.
Just read the other day that a 2nd rail union has rejected the railroads offer of a up to a 24% wage increase over 5 years so their maybe a strike soon...

This is what I read as well. They are employing about 1/2 the staff they did pre covid & paying them a fraction of what they were pre covid. I maybe only getting half the story but from what I have heard so far, there seems to be a lot of greed.

What I read was one thing the workers wanted that was not offered was few days off for family care and not be required to give 30 days notice to take time off...

Have patience. It will come.
I ordered my January 16th completed June 27th and it just arived in Kent Wa yesterday.

They said it should be ready for pick up by the 11th of November.

The dealer is OK if you back out on that truck because they will sell for $10000 more to the next guy.

This is my retirement truck

I can't wait I am taking a week off from Work and taking a much needed vacation to break in my new H/O Mega cab.

Any suggestions on the break in period?

Manual says no breakin required for the Cummins. But it does say the first 500 miles of towing are suppose to be under 50mph. They don't specify if that is for gas or diesel though, and given they say the Cummins needs no breakin, it is a bit unclear, IMO.

It's basically for the diffs, the Cummins is ready for duty out of the box, and the harder they work the happier they are.

I think he is spot on here. If you want to make sure your rings break in good go back & forth between 45 & 60 mph hour for about 30 minutes. Then let the diff cool off completely & then do that a couple more times. This is probably not a have to but I like to do it for piece of mind. I also change my oil early on the first change. At least half of the recommended oil change. Again probably not needed but it gives me piece of mind.

Ram Customer Service emailed me today and said order banks for Power Wagons are supposed to reopen "late 4th quarter" and to "keep in touch with my local dealer". Glad I jumped on my '21 when I did.

After the first 500 miles if you want the engine to work hard either hook to a 3-5K trailer or put 1-2K in the bed then drive at Hwy speeds non stop for as long as you can, the longer the better, even if you can't do a weight pull long none stop drive empty is also good for it, JMHO...

Just be glad that your Ram will have a descent engine

Stellantis is getting rid of the engines that get good MPG & have more than enough POWER, that run on Regular gas & diesel.

Now those that never drove an Inline 6, Long Stroke small Bore engine will find out how good they had it with the Eco-diesel or 4.7L or better yet, the 5.7L

You may be wanting a Long Stroke, Big Bore Inline 6
ie: Hudson Twin H Hornet

What is a Twin H Power engine?

Instead of the standard 145 horsepower engine one could order, in 1952, the “Twin-H” version with dual two barrel carburetors increasing the horsepower to 170 and then, with subsequent tuning (the so-called 7-X modification) up to 210 horsepower. This L- head engine was at the time “the largest six-cylinder engine in the world”.

the cylinders were almost as large as a gallon coffee can

Nope - agreement is off... apparently a 24% raise and 5G in bonuses wasn't enough... :(

One of the reason for a no vote was workers asked for a few days of personal time off, that was rejected by the railroad, so they told them to go pound sand an rejected their offer, so there is a good chance they will go on strike...

Dealer also said he is getting upset at chrysler. Had a customer order a heavy duty during the time mine has been stuck in shipping status and is now further along than mine. So he said railcar shortage reason doesn't make sense for him either.

Also he is giving me 1000 off the truck when it isnt his fault but when asked chrysler what they are going to do for me they said to tell me to try and order the exact same truck and I'll pay thousands more now. Pretty much telling me to kick rocks. Again the ford's are looking pretty nice lol

Yeah I read on my camper forum that both Chevy & Ford are having the same issues. Some guys are getting their trucks in 4-5 months while others have been waiting over a year. I think most of those Fords that were parked at that raceway in Kentucky 2 years ago are still sitting there waiting on chips. I would want a lot of money off to purchase a new 2020 F350. That can't be good on any of the components of the truck, sitting that long. Tires are probably starting to dry rot.
My Ram 3500 has been built since 6/14/22 & just sitting in Mexico. Hell, all the "new car smell" will probably be gone before I get it!
