Uconnect screen delamination issues

I am just curious how many people have had issues with the screen delaminating on there touch screen radios. Ram Cares doesn't seem to care and I am looking to see how big of a problem this is. If there are enough issues I may contact legal representation to see if this qualifies for a Class Action suite.

People usually come here to ***** when something goes wrong. No one comes and says how theres are fine, like mine. Plus not ever Dodge RAM Chrysler JeeP owner are on here. Just something to consider on your poll. But it apparently does happen which you'll see if you do a search.

That is why I started this post. I saw where other members have had issues in other posts. Trying to put one post together to see how many that belong to this forum that are having or had the same issue. Not on here ********, I am on here trying to come up with a resolution to the problem.

I have a 2018. Mine is delaminated. Dealer and ram cares did nothing. Looks like crap in my beautiful truck but still functions for now. I'll fix it when it starts having ghost touches

Ram Cares is a joke .. they asked me for some information some of which I thought was pretty personal and all they did was get my order that was already approved and set up for an appointment to replace my fuel tank canceled lol ..

The dealership said Ram Cares said I didn't need my fuel tank replaced anymore and refused to even set up another one because I supposedly canceled my appointment ..

I don't trust Ram Cares especially when they are asking you for certain information which they should already have if you provide them with a VIN number ...

Is Ram Cares even confirmed to be actual people, legit people working for Stellantis?

I wouldn't give them any information, wouldn't trust them wouldn't even make contact with them on these forums .. .simple as that ...

Now someone who claims to work for Stellantis has some personal information of mine because "I" thought they were trustworthy since they are allowed to conduct business in the form of a middle man here on the forums ...

I have a 2018 and replaced the digitizer in July. Mine started with the ghost touch problem and I needed to fix it before a long trip. Unfortunately the new digitizer doesn’t work well in some areas and I see the start of some delaminating again.

I have a 2018 Ram with 20150 miles. The screen is shot and Ramcares could care less. Fortunately I have an extended warranty that is paying the cost for a new uconnect system. There has been an overwhelming amount of complaints about this issue.

Another loss for RamCares lol .... they are worthless seriously ... they caused me more issues and problems at the dealership than what I previously had ...

The sad thing is there are tons on complaints but not much is done. My truck was used came with EXT Powertrain warranty but the bumper to bumper was already expired. I got 3000mile bumper to bumper when I bought it but of course it shows up a few months after that expired.

I had mine replaced over the summer. Delaminated and then started changing radio stations on it's own. Wouldn't let me use the AC, it would change the temp from hot to cold in the middle of a brutal heat wave we had here.

The truck was basically unusable.

Ram Cares did nothing. Luckily I bought an extended warranty when I purchased this truck used a few years ago.

Mine's a 2018 Ram Big Horn with the U-Connect 8.4 system.

They are getting away with so much , it's insane watching them do this to so many people ...

I'm finding this out. I also found out that LG has updated the screen, obviously they know they used the wrong glue. I will be looking into this further and speak with an Atty to see about a class action suite.

I just bought a new screen shipped for 324.00. I'm quessing cheaper than attorney fees.just sayin.agrivating I know.
Yep, in a class action, the only winners are the attorneys.

It's not only the attorney fees, there are the expert witnesses, you would to prove that RAM somehow did this intentionally.

It was a good percentage of 2018's affected by the faulty screen adhesive that LG used in the screen. Enough of them got the faulty glue that Ram has a Star Case number about it. My 2018 de-laminated around the 3 year mark and within 6 months or so the radio was useless due to the ghost touches (started at the top center clock area). Local Ram dealer wanted to charge me $1080 or something for a new radio with install. I reached out to Ramcares who hooked me up with Uconnect and within 4-6 months I had a new radio installed free of charge by the same local dealer. It's not a RAM problem but a LG problem that Uconnect sourced the radios/screens from. Idk who is eating the costs of the new radios plus labor but I have a feeling that Ram/Uconnect foot the bill and LG is ultimately charged.

I have a 2018 LTD, & my screen is checking [spider webbing]. My truck was a late build, the 2019's were just arriving, it sat on the lot for another year, so when I bought it, it was technically 2 years old, so I am still under the original bumper to bumper warranty. I took it to the dealer with the complaint last week along with the chrome letters on the tailgate bubbling. The service manager told me the radio will be replaced under warranty, along with the letters. i ordered a "well reviewed" screen protector from BroTech in Germany, but the service manager thinks that the replacement radio may have an upgraded screen ? This I don't know ! He says that the radio etc., could take 2 weeks to 2 months to arrive !
