I finally got to break in my brand new Ryobi impact driver at the junk yard this morning. I know a lot of people think Ryobi is junk but I've always had great luck with them and have a whole wall full of their 18v line. Probably an equal number of blue angels and fluorescent green (like the blue angels color scheme better (Go Navy!)).
Anyway, this thing tore through the rusty steering knuckle bolts with no effort. It actually twisted the tie rod end bolt off at the rod end like it was made out of paper. Be careful what you use it on. Saved me a crap ton of time. All bolts were out in seconds and these were obviously never changed during the car's life. So 18 years ago.
It was a good purchase.

That impact wrench is pretty decent impact wrench, it has some serious power.

Might want to change the title though since it is an impact wrench not and impact driver.

Though Ryobi's newest impact driver puts out almost 183 ft/lb of torque (2200 in. lb) - which in itself is pretty respectable. Hard on the 1/4" shaft adapters though.

I have a bunch of their 18v stuff, but saw really bad reviews on their brushless drills/saws etc. You can see guys on YT smoking them up within like 30 seconds of sustained use, is that a problem for this impact wrench?

I haven't had any issues with the brushless stuff that I have.
In fact, I have their HP brushless 3/8 impact wrench and it is one of my favorite impact wrenches to use - always a battle between it and the Ridgid subcompact 3/8 impact wrench.
Seldom pull out the Ridgid 1/2" impact and haven't used the Ryobi High torque impact listed above just yet - but did pick it up on sale the other day.

AS powerful as the OP listed impact wrench is, you are never even going to stress it on 99.5% of all jobs that you will use it on - unless doing semi or large equipment work.

Id like to try this one. Was disappointed with the impact driver that replaced my three speed brushed unit. Very weak. Otherwise, have used and abused these tools for years.

I still have a Ryobi 12V Drill from ~'09. Starting to act up a bit, and is undersized for real work, but jumped to the 18V stuff, mostly because they had (have) the cordless dethatcher on their line, which uses the 18V. But also the wife had a 40V string trimmer when I met her, which I actually like. She had a house when I met her, I was in an apartment, so no yard tools... And couldn't do much truck work either...
