Hey Guys,

Looking at adding some capacity for less sag and see many mixed signals about timbren, sumo springs, etc...

I was looking at getting these ICON Dual rate springs to help with a little sag and towing capacity and hopefully some extra ride quality.

I recently added the Bilstein 5100 at 2.8 in the front on stock coils and it made a very Noticeable difference in ride quality on bumpy roads and pout holes. Hoping to have the same outcome when upgrading the rear suspension.

Or.. if everyone thinks the best bang for your buck is the TIMBRENS ill consider this option.

Thanks in advance!

Bummer. I added Decked drawers and I want to add a RSI SmartCap topper. Total added weight, empty, is about 500-600lbs. I am looking to change out my rear coils for something to help prevent sag.

Timbrens aren't an upgrade, they're a band-aid at best. Icon's are a fantastic upgrade, 1.5" lift, good ride with upgraded shocks, and extra load. There's a kickass chart here that has spreadsheets that show known specs on the coil spring options.

If you have constant weight there are a few options, @ram1500rsm likes his Clayton rear springs with constant extra load. If you aren't looking to lift (or want a small lift just from the stiffer rate coil), TufTruck springs seem to be the go to for handling the weight.

Or eibach are a good extra load option. 10% over stock. I run them. Will be swapping to synergy 3” springs when I install my lift.

You'll like the Icons 1.5" ride onroad, loaded, offroad etc. As Daniel said i run Clayton 2.5" coils which are not RAM 1500 specific and i couldn't be any happier. Installed them almost 3 years ago, ride as good as my old Icon 1.5 did", haven't sagged in all this time and i don't run spacers anything.. Fact i run a lot of Clayton stuff because of my setup the truck is a tad heavier than stock and was looking for more performance oriented options and found them outside the RAM aftermarket. Haven't touched any of those parts in almost 3 years and have been set them and forget them.

Have fun.
