Only 3 payments left on my 2019 3500. The end of the $1,600 monthly payments will be a relief. Back in January, 2020, just before Covid, it was a year end clearance and the large dealership has several duallys. The sticker was $79,000 and they slashed that by $10,000. But because I went in there on the last day of the month, I got it for only $64K. They were only offering the special 0% Chrysler financing for 36 months. Even with my $15K down the payments were still very painful, but I didn't miss a one, nor was I ever late. I have only 15,000 miles on the truck.

Congrats! So in three months i'd recommend you use that payment money to pay off other debt. If you are otherwise debt-free put that money into a good mutual fund or growth fund.

And yes, i'm a Dave Ramsey fan... https://www.ramseysolutions.com/ ...his system to building wealth is to become debt-free and stay that way.

Debt free is great. My 2019 was paid off within days of getting it off the dealer lot. My wife's 2021 durango was paid for at the dealer. We paid our house off years ago...I built it myself, so that made it quite a bit cheaper. My goal has been to be debt free and save money to retire early. I'm 43. Hopefully someday I will retire, but the way cost of everything is I'm not counting on it. The only debt My wife and I have are our 2 kids...those things are expensive!!!! Haha.

Sounds like you have been blessed with talents and wisdom from Above! I've had my home paid off now for about 10 years. But now I want one of those super nice cab over campers with the slide outs. Like a small apartment! I am now just begiiining to research to find out which are the most reliable, to hopefully find a deal on a nice used one. :) And away I will go during summers, away from our SW AZ heat, to fly fish in northern areas!

How much I would love a Cummins 2500 myself, however I want a Z06 a lot more and probably will still have to wait for military retirement and a new career with decent pay to get the one I want. That's not that far away and I'm ok with that but i really hate payments a lot so no idea if I will ever even buy a Z06 either haha. I think i may settle for a Grand Sport. After all, more power often means more problems in less miles.

Congratulations! I should have bought my new truck when you did, to get the deal I wanted. I kept waiting, & waiting for the new transmission to come out on the HD's. I ended up paying about 2 or 3K more than what I should have. But if I waited until now I would have paid about 10 or 12k more than I should have. Covid was a perfect time to buy & I should have jumped on a truck then. Last day of the month & inclement weather or both if you can time it right are the best times to buy. Once when I was living in Knoxville, it was the last day of the month & snowing. The car I was looking at had some areas repainted so I assumed it was in a wreck & didn't want anything to do with it. They kept throwing numbers at me & I would politely say no. They followed me all the way out to my truck throwing numbers at me. Never seen anything like it.

Go trade it in on the uber-goober super duper optioned out updated model and sink yourself into another 7-year term of unrelenting payments...It's the American way...Or so it seems. On a serious note, people should take a lesson from you.

And my Laramie HO dually has just about every option except for the adaptive cruise control, sunroof, and self leveling air bags. I love it. It's a beast.

My 2018 Lone Star Silver Edition 1500 will be paid for in February of 2023, which is perfect timing as I am retiring in August. The truck is the only financed payment I have left. Everything else has been paid off in anticipation of retirement and keeping the costs of living to a minimum. My wife's car was paid off in October and the house paid off 10 years ago. Come on August!!!

I am hoping to swing a transaction on a Flame Red 2023 3500 dually. My attorney and I are waiting to see what FCA in Auburn Hills, MI will do with our Demand Letter, about the Fuel Pump Recall Notice I have had now for over a year. If the they do nothing, then we will file Complaints with the Federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Arizona Attorney General Consumer Fraud Division. The attorney says that in most cases like this, they just wind up giving me a brand new vehicle. If that happens, I will special order the truck from the factory, with the standard output Cummins and .358 rear differential, instead of the .410. This will mean a little better fuel economy. I'll also get the automatic emergency braking, and the adaptive cruise control, and self leveling air bags. The standard output Cummins however does not come with the heavy duty Aisin Trans, but the 68RFE. But that should be OK as I'll only be hauling a large slide in truck camper. All this would only be fair, as the 2019 truck I have now with the high output Cummins and Aisin, has only 15,000 miles on it, and is in like new, mint condition

When I bought MY 19 in Aug 2018, handed a dealer CC and paid $12,700 and owned the truck out the door. The only monthly payment making on property would be my Whole House Genny Unit thru Lowes with Interest free card. On my own whim, paying 1K a month to pay off in 10 months, but I got 24 months till Jun 2024 to pay off before 26.99% interest kicks in. Never ever plan on having a vehicle payment again and house paid, so I can sit back and "ENJOY" the laurels of retirement, wateva that is, LOL.

I worked for the State of California for 33 years & retired at 60
not yet old enough to collect Social Security.

The day i retired, i hopped on a plane & flew to Salt Lake City / Provo area
Where i went to school for 12 hours & flew back to San Diego & i started paperwork to begin my own business in the Transportation Industry.
That was in 2003

With my retirement & Social Security, i can live
When i work, i have enough money to play a bit :)
& i get to see some places that i have never been
