My tire fill alert is not working. Sigh.

Yes, it is turned on. I get no honk at 36 psi.

From the owners manual:

  1. Tire Fill Alert
This feature notifies the user when the placard tire pressure is attained while inflating or deflating the tire.

 The horn will sound once to let the user know
when to stop filling the tire, when it reaches recommended pressure.
 The horn will sound three times if the tire is over- filled and will continue to sound every five seconds if the user continues to inflate the tire.
 The horn will sound once again when enough air is let out to reach proper inflation level.
 The horn will also sound three times if the tire is then underinflated and will continue to sound every five seconds if the user continues to deflate the tire.

Look at the placard in your door jamb. Whatever number is listed there is the number at which the tire fill system will honk to let you know its arrived.

I just check mine with gauge, less hassle than making sure alert is on. Besides door placards are off for my preferences.

Yes, filled and filled and filled - nothing. No single at 36 and no over at 42.

The Alert is supposed to be on automatically. Says it is on, yet nothing.

It is clearly broken. Yes, I even did the possible "dead spot" moving and nothing. Broken.

And also, yes, I have a "fancy gauge" because I wheel and used to race - so pressure is needed to be key.

I have to turn that feature on every time i stop and start the truck. ie if I turn it on and then turn the truck on and off I have to turn it on again next time I want to use it.

1500 or HD?

Did it ever work?

Does the TPMS page in the DIC show the real-time tire pressures?

Is there a current TPMS fault set?

Ignition in RUN and vehicle in Park?

Does your horn work?

That is all I got.

1500

No clue, I have filled the tires many times and no honk. I check pressure regularly.

Yes DIC can see pressure changing. Up and down

No faults

Tried in RUN truck off, acc, and with truck running

Horn works and is obnoxiously loud (love it)

Verified alert is turned on

It isn't a major issue, as stated I have always used a fancy gauge. But kind of sucks I have a broken feature

just did mine this morning because the 36 degree temps and aluminum wheels don't like each other.

ignition on RUN...horn beeps at 36 psi and i went over on the last one...gees...what a racket and the 4 ways were flashing, horn blasting. Talk about having a fit...i let the air out and she calmed down.

My tires have nitrogen in them, dealer told me it's ok to use air to top them off. hope he's right.

Topping off with shop air is fine. After all, the atmosphere contains 78% nitrogen anyways.

Mine doesn't have this feature. Low PSI alert - yes; over-pressure - no. And I know this because when I first picked up the truck and was learning the settings, the TPMS showed all of my tires had 88 to 93 PSI - the sidewall max is 80 PSI.
