Would have to take the end temp terminus into account, at least the CCS vis at -30C and -35c for 0W's.
There is one, you put weight and visc at 40 and 100 and it graphs it. seen it at bobs, but I don't know how to access it. mind you perhaps it isnt perfectly accurate, I see no spot to add base oils, but for general visc. saw it in this hemi thread. oh critic posted it, snap he should hook us up.

Why are they bothering with thinner and thinner oils now?

The USA and Canada are banning the sale of gas powered vehicles after 2035 are they not? I know Canada is.

Is this so they can insure all the old gas powered vehicles on the road get sent to the car graveyard that much faster?

scary...

Tesla sent over its winter driving tips that acknowledge its cars will suffer from "increased range consumption" when it's cold out. Drivers certainly noticed the limited range in the negative temperatures. The Model X 100D normally has close to 290 miles of juice. In negative temps, one driver reported 120 miles listed as its range.

So it will surely burn more fossil fuels in a cold region then it would to have an economical gas car. It is scary how much power they yield, it is no joke the masses will go carless.

I'll lay a years wages that Canada is still pumping out gas vehicles in 2035. There is no way our infrastruture can handle 100% renewables by that time. Think of all that empty space between the 3 major areas in Canada (Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal), now try to get across the country without gas stations.

That's just another moronic idea from the current airhead running our county into the ground, and he will get replaced at some point by somebody who has more brains and qualifications than "drama teacher".

Just wait until the executives re-outsource from China to India. Then we'll see some real junk. They tried to get us to source a small generator for 3rd world nations. During qualification testing at our place, the thing shook so badly the engine mounts broke in half @ 10 hours run time. Even our executives backed off the cheap is good mantra for those.
Like those ear drum cracking, green gems, the Colemate Powermate 4kW that shook so bad they were breaking Briggs cranks? Did numerous shortblocks on those POS's.

Yeah I heard about them, too.
Take the big profits in stock bonuses and run to the next place.
See: W. James McNerney XIV and Boeing, the shortcut 737 Max he rushed into production and killed a bunch of people, then took off leaving somebody else holding the bag.
A Jack Welch protege clone. Evil, evil people.

To save myself an f-load of time because I suck at searching for things in a thread that is 4600 pages long and I need a simple answer, can someone tell me if I want to run 5W-20 Mobil 1 Full Synthetic and drop some Biotech lubeguard in with it, how much would you add? i'm assuming that 1 quart would be overkill but I also don't want 1/2 of a bottle of oil just sitting around in my garage never to be used.

Edit* - Also, i have only 3k miles on my RP 20-820 so I'm thinking of leaving it on the truck and switching to the M1 oil and once i go back to my 5w30 oil in the summer changing the filter then. Would anyone else do this too? just seems pointless when in reality this filter can easily go beyond 10k miles and still filter just fine.

thanks :)
