I have a 2016 2500 HD Tradesman with the 6.4 Hemi. It shakes/bounces like a son of a ***** when I get up over 40. I've had 2 mechanics look at it. The first said wheelbearings were messed up so I took it for a second opinion. The guy at Midas said the bearings looked fine, amd that it was a caliper seizing up. Replaced the caliper and my power steering motor. It shakes no matter what after 40, slowing down, pressing on the brake or not, speeding up...it does not affect the amount of shake or bouncing. Also, it seems like when I'm slowing down, the gears stick a bit, the RPMs stay at 2500 and 2000 when slowing down. They stay there for a couple seconds until it finally shifts. And input would be nice.

First thing i would have done is had the tires checked at a shop and rebalanced. May have tossed a wheel weight or have a broken belt in a tire

I would take it to a real repair shop an not something like Midas... Have U-joint & drive line have been inspected, I assume this is 2 wheel drive not 4x4? Has anyone inspected all of the front end parts, this all most reads like death wobble that some trucks get due to wore out parts....

You can get shake from a transmission as well, maybe the two are related. For giggles you can take the spare of and try it in both front positions to see if the balance is still the issue. Did you get the tires balanced by road force balancer?

I'm gonna take it in, it also makes a slight grinding noise when I turn..around a curve, not a full 90 degree turn. I have had a couple friends mention the death wobble and making sure I take it to a proper balance place.

I've been recently chasing a vibration in truck at 50-70mph. Felt like in front right side. Had it checked along with an alignment and said slight alignment done but no other issues. Still have vibration. I replaced both u joints on drive shaft (one piece rear driveshaft) and issue diminished considerably. Still felt in front right so swapped all 4 tires front to back and vibration moved to back right....so tire for me. Balance is next step for rear tires to see if I can get rid of it. Hopefully will go away.
