My installer is trying to install a 2009+ 5.7L Hemi that has been "remanufactured" by a Mich. engine building company and it seems that the new engine is not building any oil pressure. The oil sensor was swapped to see if that was the issue, but there was no change. The oil filter was pulled and the was no oil up to the filter.

The pickup tube was checked and seems to be fine so any ideas what might be going on?

Having a hard time getting the engine remanufacture to communicate with us and makes it very difficult to trouble shoot.

Engine is in a 2003, 2500 truck with no cyl. shutdown electronics.

Help?

Soooooooooooo......none of the native electronics in that truck are capable of running that engine. They aren't compatible.

That's reallly strange. Engine started up but just won't pump oil. Chrysler dealer says all 5.7L engines will work, just have to shut off the newer oil ports.

Yeah something has been altered or someone is wrong about the year. An 03-05 5.7 has a 32 tooth crank wheel and electronics that can't even run MDS. The 06-08 5.7 has the same wheel, but 1st generation CAN that can run MDS but not VVT. ANY 2009+ 5.7 will have a 58 tooth crank wheel and VVT and would not be runnable with the early electronics unless someone swapped the tone wheel and locked out the VVT.
Is it a 2003 truck or is it a 2013?

Do you have pictures of the engine and/or a parts list (engine p/n) or the reman company name?

The reman company is Accurate Engines in Grand Rapids, Mi.
They don't respond to emails, phone calls, vmails or text.
We sent them the VIN number of the truck and they said they could replace exactly with a reman in 10-12 working days but took them over 20 plus days and then only after numerous phone calls and text. Then they sent an engine that they had not put the MDS oil plugs in and had to get them to give us a part number so we purchased them ourselves (should have been included in the build) .
Got the old engine out and the new engine installed and it builds no oil pressure. Checked the oil filter and it didn't even get any oil up to it. Replaced the oil pickup tube. No difference.
Have been calling them since Monday with no response to phone, vmail, text and emails.
Was told they were a great shop and found nothing on the Better Busines B. about them BUT, have now found a lot of unhappy customers on YELP, having the same problems trying to communicate with them as I am.
Not sure what to do now. Stuck with an engine at close to $4K that is not working and installing garage telling me I have to get the truck out of their shop if I can't find a fix for it.

Did your motor come with a warranty? You need to send the motor back regardless if it fits the truck or not it builds no oil pressure I wouldnt trust anything they did. Try to work it out with them if they dont respond your going to need a lawyer or work with your bank/credit card company sucks they kina screwed you best of luck.

You stated that you checked the oil pick up tube, but did you also check the Oil Pump???

Did not check the oil pump that I know of. The company will not answer any calls "except" the sales line and then they say they will transfer to a mechanic and the call just drops every time (over 15 times now).

Not sure if they will pick up the motor and/or if I should send it back on my own without some kind of communications with them. Talking with CC co now and seeing if anything can be done.
