3rd gen 5.7 ****** intake.

So my motor took a crap so I ordered a reman and the company offers a 5 year no fault warranty but this is dependent on me putting a brad new intake on it ,so they don't make an intake for the 03 stock so after a ton of searching and calling around there are only a few options,one being hollies ****** intake,so I ordered one with the adapter plates and now 3 months later I find out I have to do an egr delete and that it won't pass emissions, I need it to pass as it is my daily driver,so my question is does anyone know about any other intakes that they have used,or a way to make this work,thanks

Why not use the one off the old engine?
Why not just rebuild the old 5.7?

So apparently no one was going to mention 2003 hemi doesn't have EGR to you.....?

Bro, you don't have an EGR, those were done on the 5.7L Hemi a couple of years after your truck was built.

So for 3rd gens, 2003 hemi doesn't have it at all. 2004 to 2008 1500's do but the 25/3500's do not.

So you're telling me if I swap to an earlier intake I can drop EGR? Of course, would need a "tune" to go with it.

You could drop EGR now if you wanted to, you'd just need the block off plates (head & intake) and have it written out of the tune.
