My new 2020 PW is experiencing this same issue. Pick it up late last week and I have never had this issue in my 3500 CTD or 5.7 1500. Taking it back to dealer to see what they say. 120 miles on od.

Hi Scott,

Please be sure to keep us updated on your dealer's findings! If you are in need of any additional support while in service, please do not hesitate to send us a private message.

Deja vu, anyone? I know this is an old thread, but I thought I may as well revive it rather than make a new one.

Got a ‘22 last week, and it’s got the same issue, worse even than the ’19.

What’s worse, is somewhere along the way I lost the noise in the last truck, without ever really pinning down the source. Somewhere in the course of adjusting the hood corner supports, installing mud flaps, tire changes or who knows what it disappeared.

If I get it sorted again I’ll try to pay more attention and report back.

I’m pretty certain MDS is not engaging at 80 mph in a PW. If anyone has evidence to the contrary, :hmm:

I did get some interesting info today via a conversation with AMP Research about power steps. They said we can’t install dual motor steps on a PW because there’s a vibration damper in the way. Only diesel trucks can use a dual motor step. Well, I don’t see any damper down there.

None of these:

And none of these (active noise canceling version):

There are capped off plugs in the wiring harness at this location on both sides. I suspect maybe mine was built missing some ANC components. Probably due to ”supply chain issues”. (Insert eye roll here because that excuse is tired and stale)

If anyone has a PW with the components above installed, I would appreciate confirmation, or maybe a photo. I'm anticipating a difficult interaction with the dealer getting them to confirm it should have these parts from the factory. Or not??

Update: according to Mopar online parts, these were used in all 2500 and 3500 gas trucks from 2019 through 2021. Model year 2022 only in 3500 trucks.
