Hi All,

I have a 2020 1500 Classic that I want to install a trailer break in. The only real issue that I'm having is programing the CPU. to be specific, its gaining access the bypass gateway to install the module to allow programing. Anyone out there who has done this? tips and pointers welcome. FYI, i do know the location of the gateway but getting to it is a real pain,

the brake controller is installed, to program the truck CPU I have a geni OBD programmer and the gateway bypass module. to use the geni you need to install the bypass which is my issue.

This looks like a package from infotainment.com? Have you contacted them about your issues? I'm sure they would be helpful.

Without all that programming, I will add that a after market EBC like a tekonsha progidy P3 will work better than the OEM, at least it did for me. It takes all of 5 minutes to install, with the correct adapter wire harness that mates up with your trucks wiring.

Plug in the bypass module (under the steering wheel) it's about a 3"x5" module, has 2 connectors in it that go in to the bypass module. Plug the Genie in to the OBD port and follow whatever instructions Infotainment gave you.

on the 2020 1500 classic it is behind the LCD display but not easily accessible even with the display removed
