2012 Ram 1500, bought new, only needed repair to date was a coil pack. It's never left me stranded or even threatened to. It looks as good today as it did when I got it, and is now my sons. 83k-ish miles

2021 Ram 2500 Power Wagon. Bought with 8107 miles on it. I've put *maybe* 500 miles on it so far, so can't really comment to longevity yet but it's an incredible truck.

Rental Ram 1500 Classic: Took it through Mojave, wiped it down with a t-shirt, turned it back in to Budget with no issues. :D

Everybody in my house is healthy and has full mobility, I'm getting a 5% raise 1/1/23, and leaving for Portugal tomorrow. Lots of happy news on my front.

My 2012 has 172k mi on the clock! Runs, drives & looks pretty good. Doesn't use oil. Haven't had to do any major work. I think my neighbor's is accumulating quite a few (trouble-free) miles, It's gotta be up there. I'll ask when I see him next. That's good news, no?! :)

There are other guys on this forum coming up to or just over 200k mi mark w/o major issues. So what if your truck starts to 'tick' a little? Doesn't affect performance or longevity (that I'm aware of). Lot of engines develop ticking noises or lifter noise and they don't even know it.

I just do the basic maintenance, and don't get too carried away by events I can't fully control. :waytogo: Your worrying isn't going to change what the cam does or lifters develop.

I think that a lot of the tic might be exhaust. I developed tic a couple hundred miles ago, and it goes quiet when warmed. Mechanic confirmed it is exhaust manifold. other than that, I have been trouble free for 45k

Good to hear guys. I know we have pretty great V's on the whole it is just a bit concerning when you read all the problems. Some i understand are self inflicted. My Baby Warlock is great ( touch wood) leaving it stock except for a Vararam,Flowmaster exhaust and a catch can. Doing some light dress up and that is it. Big problem is which micro fibre to polish him with..Duh...fingers crossed..All the best to all the Ram brothers out there!

Would it be good news for the few people who can access the information exclusively on ram forum that 80% of hemi lifter ticks can be erased with an oil change, that 50% of them can be erased with a simple additive, and either choice follows the science of lubrication and was a simple fix? If every ram was on these lubrication strategies would there even be supply line shortages on lifters? Well, I call it good news as my ram is one of these lucky rams- that all I got.

Just went from SWFL to NC and back this weekend. My '15 with 155k miles did not disappoint at all, got 20+ mpg even with slowdowns and detours.

She has been a fantastic truck, Front hubs and H/L switch have been about the only thing I've replaced other than the routine services - exhaust manifold bolts + beltsander (haha), plugs, trans, diff, oil changes every 10k, tires, etc.

I cant even remember when my last vehicle got 20 mpg, must be nice. In the 1980's I think I have a couple vehicles get over 20mpg, but not since.

Especially in a V8

About the only thing I don't care for in my '15 is the seats are not comfortable, IMO. But, then again, all I have is a basic SLT 2wd QC, so it is what it is.

Still love the truck, gonna keep her as long as I can.

My Camaro gets low 20s at mid-80mph highway cruising. 25-26mpg if you're willing to do the boring limit.

I can easily pull down well over 30 mpg in the wifes 6.4 Challenger. I know of a few Hellcats that'll pull down 26/27 mpg at 75 mph.

You running unicorn shizz in it? That's amazing!
I grew up driving 3 ton grain trucks, that were lucky to have 1 brake that worked. My Dad used to stand an old quart can of oil up in the middle of the 1/2 tons box, then us kids had to drive so it didn't tip over or slide around the box,so we learned to drive for milege, and my sisters also learned to drive tractors and combines, lol

Oh jeez….mileage. My high school car was a 65 Impala SS, 327 4 speed.
I had a 780 dual line Holley on it and put a gear driven injector kit on it to avoid the hesitation when you punched it. It essentially operated all 4 jets constantly. The gas mileage was probably in the low single digits :)
To keep on the thread, I’ve had 3 Dakota’s and 3 Rams and the only issue I’ve ever had was putting on a new master cylinder on one of the Dakotas…and that one was a beater to begin with.
