Ouch is right, $1600 a month is hundreds more more then I pay on my mortgage each month....
To be precise, the payment is $1,639.79. Chrysler Capital was only offering the 0% interest loan for 36 months, so I had to bite the bullet. But only 3 more payments to go and I am going to sweet talk them into forgiving the last 2 payments since I have never missed a payment or even been late. My next purchase will be a nice, clean used full sized Lance cab over camper. Hopefully, with a slide out, like this one. ;) Then, I am gone for the summer, from my little SW Arizona home with my pet cat and fishing gear. Maybe as soon as next summer.......

I worked for the State of California for 33 years & retired at 60
not yet old enough to collect Social Security.

The day i retired, i hopped on a plane & flew to Salt Lake City / Provo area
Where i went to school for 12 hours & flew back to San Diego & i started paperwork to begin my own business in the Transportation Industry.
That was in 2003

With my retirement & Social Security, i can live
When i work, i have enough money to play a bit :)
& i get to see some places that i have never been

Think the Frugal can live on practically Nothing.
Wasteful can't live with Abundance.

Depends on the situation, the person and the circumstances.
Just wish everyone, to be happy, and STAY OFF MY GRASS!

Congrats brother. I havent had a Payment of any kind in the last 10y and will never go back to them.
You live in Canada, Screwball.
You cannot afford any payments, after your pay all of your taxes.

Is it true you're getting a new tax, to pay for confiscating everyone's guns,
so they cannot fight back, against being taxed, for having their guns taken?

Oh? Canada!

he he
sorry, had too

I use to have a payment of $395 a month but I relocated 4 years ago to be close to grandkids, the price of current house cost a bit more then 125 acres of farmable farm land in IA..
ok....i would think farmable acreage would be more than a house - Iowa is a bit on the more affordable side of things, averaging 24% lower than the national average for housing for instance.

Then that is an expensive house!!! 10k per acre for farm ground in IA at least, and some has gone for more than 20k an acre.

It is insane. It was up around the Sioux city area I believe. I guess that is what happens when our government subsidizes the farmers as much as they do.

It is the most freeing and beautiful thing in life to be debt free. Financial stress is one of the hardest things to deal with. When life hits you with something you think you can't handle and then you're also dealing with money problems, that's a lot to deal with. I'm 34, I have a wife and a daughter, and we just built our dream house. 2800 Sq ft, .35 acre lot single level with 50 ft rv bay and 2 car garage. It's not hard to achieve when you don't carry debt for 10 years and you save and sacrifice just a little. Keep in mind, I'm an E7 in the Air Force and I retire from service in 4 years and I got really lucky buying and selling a couple of homes and renting one out all at the right time. For most of us, it's not possible to reach those reasonable dreams unless we sacrifice some early on for what we want later. Trust me, it's f***in so worth it.

No doubt. It is amazing how little they do nowadays if they don't have hogs or cattle. All of them around me drive the highest trim level trucks, have amazing houses. Most have a 2nd house on lakes also. They complain about everything. I had a printout a few years ago that I kept with me showing how much money they had gotten over the years from the government...so when they complained I would find that farmers name and show him how much free money he had been given and they would usually shut their mouth. I always liked it when they would complain about people on well fare and I would say a farmer is the same thing, they just call it a subsidy instead of well fare.

Only 2 payments left. I asked Chrysler Capital if, because of my faithful, on time and never late 34 payments if they would forgive the last two. Never heard back from them ;-/

Congrats! So in three months i'd recommend you use that payment money to pay off other debt. If you are otherwise debt-free put that money into a good mutual fund or growth fund.

And yes, i'm a Dave Ramsey fan... https://www.ramseysolutions.com/ ...his system to building wealth is to become debt-free and stay that way.

I have no other debt, so it's good.
