Grizzstang---It (52 Ford) looks nice from a distance but needs a lot of work. I'm starting with the brakes. Only the parking brake works now so it's tricky to move it, right? It has a 302 and C4 in it but the engine was partially dis-assembled and sat for 6 years so I'll need to at least pull the heads to see how rusty it is inside, then the pan to scrape out any "gunk". Hopefully it's only a hone job.

The driver's door was bashed but it came with a spare door to fit up. Lots to do but I was looking for a "Winter Inside Project" that would be worth my efforts.

Got off track there, you asked what I plan on doing with it. I figure to make it operable again as a comfortable cruiser. I want it smooth and quiet with modern power---about 200 horses and the C4 with maybe a street version shift kit. I'm going to search out all the rust and put a converter chemical on that to save it as much as I can. It came with fender skirts but I don't think I'll put them on (and 4 inch lowering blocks, uninstalled and no, they won't be in either). Happy Trails!

I finally got my trucks goodie list down to 2 items.
1. Tint my front windows
2. put a set of better shoes on it, the ones I have are ok but they just are not what I want.

What you done since buying your 2018 Ecodiesel you say? Well since Aug when I bought it
Changed the shocks to Bilstein 5100 height adjustable and removed those cheap lift blocks - Amazingly I took it in for an alignment and I was smack in the middle of the specs. What luck was that!
New Sway bar links at the same time as above. All the other bushings are good to go. Changed ALL the fluids including the brakes. Brake juice is one thing most folks don't ever change but its so easy I figured why not.
Transfer case and diffs were done as well. Tranny no because I am only at 74K and I figure I need something to do in the spring. Tailgate soft close. Changed all interior lights to LED. Ordered LEDs for under the back seat, should be here soon so that's a nice upgrade for $12. New winter mats with a Ram on it. scotch-brited the carpets too to keep the salt down. Cleaned the EGR and map sensor cuz I had that good old throttle warning come up.
Bought new muffler tips but now I am not sure I want to change the stock chrome ones.
Rustproofed my girl with a gallon of fluid film, never again as I will pay a shop to do it. Too damn messy but glad I did it all the same.
This week I did this:
Upgraded my 6 speakers to Pioneer 6970's and rockford punch in the dash, now it at least sounds like your playing music. Maybe an amp and a head upgrade someday in the future.
Upgraded the headlights to Sylvania's zenon bulbs. its a small thing but until I can find a projector light it will do.

just 2 tiny things away from finishing the truck the way I want it and it wasn't even that long of a journey.

Transfer case fluid change and replaced bottom npt plug with a magnetic gold plug. Will do top one later so only need 3/8 Allen to remove vs. Oem with 3/8 ratchet on top and 3/8 Allen on bottom like I have right now. Banks rear differential cover supposed to be here tomorrow. Have matching paint and then put it on the truck on Fri/Sat. Crazy but not able to find more gear oil for front differential so ordered some. Dec 30 delivery date so far so who knows when I'll have what I need to do the front diff. ATF+4 in my area is same story....

Got the oil change done (super recommend the Fumoto valve and a remote oil filter, only a few minutes under the truck and no tools), led swapped the underhood light, new cabin air filter, and replaced some missing wheel liner retainer clips. Then saw it was foggy tonight on the dog walk so of course there's a photo.

Got my estimate back from a 4x4 shop for the 3.21 to 3.92 regear with TruTrac for the rear and used front diff install for the front. $5,200ish seems high.

I'm looking at options now, sucks I don't have the space and my tools to do it myself for at least a year, maybe longer.

Anyone know/recommend a drivetrain or 4x4 shop in southeast WI?

Where'd ya get your clips from??
Bought a kit from Amazon that had a mix of clips, not exact but made them work. Didn't want to run to the dealer for a few clips, plus I needed one for the underhood light that I broke.

Time for rear diff fluid change so put in banks rear diff colored to match to make future gear oil changes easier on me tbh. And better for rear diff too I suppose.... :) went just like video

This may or may not be SouthEast enough but Moose's 4x4 in Hartford has been around for a few decades.
5871 Hwy 60
(262) 673-4557
If they're not convenient enough they might know of a closer shop.
