Got my estimate back from a 4x4 shop for the 3.21 to 3.92 regear with TruTrac for the rear and used front diff install for the front. $5,200ish seems high.

I'm looking at options now, sucks I don't have the space and my tools to do it myself for at least a year, maybe longer.

Anyone know/recommend a drivetrain or 4x4 shop in southeast WI?
Glad I paid the $95 extra when ordering ouch!

I run my 3:55 in my Ram with trans in 4th and I'm sure it's about the same as a 3:92 I had in my car. And shift to 5th when I feel like it. I don't usually run it in mds.

Its been a minute since I have been on. Work is insane. Finally starting to slow down. This year has been really long. Anyways took a slow day and went in and did a cut/polish using Koch Chemie H9 and a Rupes blue wool pad on a 21" Rupes DA to cut as many scratches out as possible. I then Did some wet sanding on some areas that needed it. Back in October I had 30 dents knocked out of it. I then used Koch Chemie F6 as the final polish. I had previously ran the Undrdog Protective coating on it. I absolutely love it on my wifes Jeep, but for some reason it failed on my Ram. I think it was that its 10 years old and the gloss enhancement that I did wasn't enough to get the surface clean. It was panel prepped, just a weird thing. Anyways I could have used what ever I wanted from Modesta or Cquartz Professional or Finest Reserve, but I choose to go with the new Koch Chemie Bodyguard. I love it so far. Its seems to be a really great true ceramic coating. Its been so nasty I worry about water spots, unlike Undrdog that will not get water spots on the coating. Here are some pics.

Series of events with my wife's low tire light in her Highlander reminds me to check Ram spare tire since I know the steel rim on it wasn't in the best of shape and had bought a rim to match the truck that had just showed up recently. Off to the tire shop for swapping spare tire rims and order my wife's Highlander a replacement as well. Didn't take too long and am back on safe path with both again, but doesn't help the wallet!

Been yanking my air ride fuse intermittently now that it's getting cold here in Ohio. However, doing so has helped diagnose a leak. I haven't found it yet, but the left front leaks down after a day or 2. Between the air ride and stability control fuses I'll be making a harness soon and running a switch to the cab for them.

Just got my shipping notice from HP Tuners for the unlocked ECU, already have the MPVI3 and credits in hand, gotta wait a few pay cycles before setting up with FRP for a tune. Also ordered a UPR catch can to replace my eBay special that the hoses are cracking out on.

Also ordered a UAS upgrade, some Auxito yellow fog leds, and a Billet Technology catch can for the wife's 17 Durango 3.6.

Been trying to get my dual oil filter relocation kit installed.
First one I installed had a pinhole from poor manufacturing, so i overnighted a replacement from a different brand and lo and behold. It’s leaking from where the oil filters attach… on both oil filters.

Just curious…… where are they suggesting to mount the dual filters?

What were your thoughts in going with a dual kit? :waytogo:

Don’t think anyone in particular was suggesting the dual filters exactly. I just figured if I’m gonna be installing the relocation kit to make oil changes easier, the dual filter vs single filter kit wouldn’t hurt anything to have double the filtering surface area. Not going to be using it as an excuse to extend oil change intervals or anything like that. Still plan to do my oil changes at 7.5-10k miles.

I may have gotten that leak resolved. After @danielmid commented on my build that he has a similar leak from his Royal purple 30-8a filters I went and picked up a different brand filter. Stuck some fram XG8a filters on and drove about 15 miles on the interstate and so far it looks like there is no more leak!

I have 3 of those in my storage unit for the next change, how much fluid did you lose?

I wouldn’t say any more than 4-5 ounces from my first trip with the Royal purple filters. I have a 30 mile interstate drive to work tonight so I’ll be able to check again when I get there to see if there’s any leakage with these filters

What about fluid loss during the filter change? Did you get engine drain down the hoses?
