OK, folks.....I tried.

I zeroed in on two trucks. Both were 2019 Ram 1500 Laramies, both with 5.7 Hemi and 4x4, both with panoramic roof and 12" Uconnect. One was Delmonico over silver two tone, the other was solid Delmonico with the 4x4 Off Road Group, and both were in the low 20's on the mileage.

I had hammered out excellent deals on both trucks, but the interest rate took me out of the game. I have over an 800 score, and the BEST I could get was 7.02%.

Sorry, but with that credit score, I'm simply not doing it. My F150 still runs very well, so we'll keep trucking till the rates come back down. Regardless, I DO plan to buy one at some point, so I'll hang around if you don't mind.

Wow, that's nuts. So glad we bought ours when we did. Granted we bought new, but you can't beat 0% interest along with almost $7k in dealer incentives. Hope the rates come back down to a more acceptable rate soon. And of course you're welcome to stick around.

Bank of America, as I write this, 5.49 for used cars.

Half percent discount available if you’re in their preferred rewards system with qualifying deposits, so for me it would be 4.99.

My method is get the money all sorted before shopping. If a dealer can beat my numbers, well and good. It doesn’t happen very often.

I don't blame you with that interest rate. I know it's going to be more expensive than the lows 20's but did you try looking at new rams and see what those interest rates would be?
My apologies, I just noticed I typed low 20's on the price tag. I have edited it to show on the MILEAGE!

If I could get either for low 20's in price, to hell with the interest, I'd buy BOTH!

I looked at a Chevy and they lowballed me on trade, and at a Ford, but no LED lighting, They were talking 3.49% interest at Chevy. RAM dealer here, friggin no well optioned RAM under 56K unless U went V6. No V6 for me and no E Torque either. Guess I be in my 2019 (is paid off tho, LOL). I will not buy a vehicle w/o LED lighting, I will never go back to Halogen or even the silly sorry Quad 4 RAM setup.

That's about right for used. I bought mine in late August at 3.9%, and with the 4% total increase in interest since then, the rates are in the area you were quoted.

Ford advertising 2022 F 150's for 1.9% interest for 60 months. But how much friggin money U gotta put down to get to a reasonable payment, argh...

SEEMS like all the Big 3, if you want something decent and semi optioned out gonna go from like 58K to infinity, me thinks the days of 40 thousand trucks gone for now. Just wait till supply catches up with demand, and the dealers got trucks parked on the roof. then we shall see if they wanna deal. All they wanna do is upcharge you over the inflated MSRP and/or make at least 25% on any used vehicle they buy.

This BOIRD has NO money tree in the backyard. Got a lot of Hoss stuff though, LMAO. What I use the below pictured piece of equipment for in the back acres, LOL.

It could be worse. In 1980, the average used car rate was 19.10%.

I remember loan rates for credit cards and personal loans around 26-29%.

In 1981, 30 year home loans were 16.63%.

I hope those rates are not in our future.

LOL…I just installed LED’s in my Quads last night. Had to aim them all the way down. Nice upgrade too.

YUP, does help, depending upon manufacturer and the light beam scatter and orientation. With my having OEM sealed beams, hope neva go bad, they be Expensive. My left rear was replaced under warranty, as in tail light, was $536.00.

That’s spendy! I tried the Fahren H11/9005. I have to say I am impressed with the pattern. The build quality is good as well.
