Yeah - they are beadlocks though and it has the rock rails which my wife doesn’t consider a step!

You’re right PW wheels!

Really? The build sheet for my truck has listed:
“17X8.0 Bead-Lock Aluminum Wheels”
Is that wrong? Seems pretty clear but maybe you have different info.

Like i said, they are capable of being true beadlocks. But they are not off the assembly line. You can unbolt the rings, take them off, and drive without them if you want. The current rings are just for looks.

My wife also does not consider the 75a rails a step. Going to use that as my reason to buy the white knuckles.

Here’s one for you! My 75A PW was a Ram auto show truck! It has every option available. But it is not numbered & I can get the build sheet but not the window sticker.
That whole thing is super cool. I wonder if its this test truck from October '20. Also, have to amend my previous statement - 3 most collectable 75As - Unnumbered, 0001, and 0069.

Wow - that sure looks like my truck. It makes sense why all the badges and decals weren’t installed but included when I got it. The dealer told me it had been used at auto shows but if that were true I thought why wouldn’t they have all the badging in place. All the 75A interior badges are there. Not sure if I can find out for sure with the VIN but it also would explain why the Window Sticker is not available.

Thanks for the clues to help solve my trucks story!

Out of curiosity, how did you buy the truck…from a dealer? Was it still considered new? Full warranty?

I bought from a Ram dealer in Lincoln IL they had bought it from Ram at auction. It had 5690 miles on it. I was getting ready to order a 2022 from Dave Smith in Kellogg ID (OBTW they will sell you a new PW at MSRP). We were in Smithton IL for the birth of my grandson. I noticed a local dealer had a 2020 PW on the lot with 11K on it. It was one level up from the basic PW which is what I was considering. We went to test drive it. Funny if they weren’t such weenies I would have bought that truck. Made them an offer and their response was if they would sell it for that the salesman would buy it.

I then saw this truck in Lincoln a couple hours away. We went to drive it 3 days before Xmas. During the the test drive my wife said if your buying a truck this is the one! I offered them a couple grand less than what they were asking & they took it. Delta refunded the back half of our return airline tickets (due to the COVID spike) & we drove it back to Arizona. I wasn’t planning on getting a PW until April but this was an offer I couldn’t refuse.
Sorry for the long winded reply

I bought it from a Ram dealer in Lincoln IL. They bought it at a special auction from Ram. It had 5690 miles so used but with the balance of the original warranty.

I was getting ready to order a 2022 PW to replace my 2019 Ford 250 SD from Dave Smith in Kellogg ID (they will sell you a new Ram at MSRP). I was in Smithton IL for the birth of my grandson. I hadn’t driven the PW yet & saw a local dealer had a 2020 PW with 11K miles on the lot & it was equipped one level up from standard. I went to drive it & liked it. If the dealer hadn’t been a ****** I would have bought that truck.

Then I saw my truck in Lincoln a couple hours away. We went to see it & on the test drive my wife said “If you’re getting a new truck this is the one.” It was 3 days before Xmas & I offered them a couple grand less than what they were asking. They took it (which was an unbelievable deal). Delta refunded the back half of our return airline tickets & we drive it to Arizona where we are wintering over. It was truly an offer I couldn’t refuse. My brother in law calls my truck “Sasquatch” because you never see one like this! (Sorry for the long winded reply)

Will the White Knuckles fit with the rock rails in place or do you have to remove them?
I'm sure I'll have to remove them. I'm just as sure I'll find someone who wants to buy the originals too.

After seeing how much dirt and rocks that get stuck against the body with those, i would not use them at all. I did want to find myself a set…but not anymore!

#0598 checking in... Picked up in mid March 2021, pretty sure it was the first Molten Orange in Washington. It's a work in progress but should be mostly complete by October.

If anyone in SW Washington is interested in the Molten Orange ARE Overland topper, this one will be available in October as I'm replacing with a Super Pacific X1 cap/camper. It has roof rails for racks and both side windows are doors and open.
