I’ve got a 07’ ram 1500 with the 4.7. Recently fell in love with the S&B CAI’s and have been looking into them for a while. However, it seems they only make the kit for the 5.7L. I’ve gone through several forums trying to figure out if it would fit and most forums have been people just throwing out guesses which I don’t wanna base a $350 purchase on a guess so I was wondering if anyone knew if the 5.7L kit would fit onto the 4.7L.

Without knowing much about the s&b cai's I'm going to venture a guess and say it's more than likely not interchangeable without some modifications as the engine are different. I'm also gonna say I wouldn't waste your time or money on it for very little to no noticeable difference in power. If you're doing it for looks then I'd say have at it. And welcome to the fun house by the way

Looking to do it more for a mpg increase, I just had the engine swapped for a rebuilt one and the mpg wasn’t really good originally but I feel it’s even worse now. Probably needs to be tuned regardless. Was also looking for some more throttle body response. Only reason I bothered asking the question is after looking on summit racing they have some CAI’s that will offer usability for the 5.7 and 4.7 but I’m not sure whether those kits will come with adapters or what not.

As I mentioned previously, cold air intakes aren't going to gain you much of anything. I'd recommend emailing the company or summit racing to ask them what it comes with for installation.

Waited till today so they’d be open, summit said they didn’t have the info on it and S&B ended up saying that they didn’t carry the product and that it wouldn’t fit.

I had a cold air intake on my old ram and sounded terrible on the 4.7 loud/boggy noise removed it sent it back not much you can do to a 4.7 on a 5.7 however sounds awesome lol.

Airaid MIT connecting throttle body and stock airbox…have it in my ‘08 4.7. Great sound, cleans up engine compartment, and maintains superior filtration of stock air filter vs that oiled crap everyone uses.
