Conoco, cheveron, shell or cenex. My buddy mixed gas at the bulk plant and said cenex has the highest standards.

We move around frequently, so it’s whatever is locally available and cheap. I’m more of a middle of the road bargain hunter. I avoid the no-name or unbranded gas, because who knows what it is. I buy top tier when I can get it, but I won’t pay extra.

Costco is a great place to get TT and save money. More often I’m getting Shell or one of the other big brands. Join their loyalty programs and most of the time it’s the same price or less than brand x in the same neighborhood.

I’ll absolutely buy grocery store gas if it’s cheaper. My opinion TT is more important with GDI engines; Hemi not so much.

When I had a Porsche, my Porsche mechanic friend was adamant about only using Chevron (which I know is not available everywhere) and he used it in his Harley along with every car he owned. He said Porsche recommends Chevron. My brother-in-law is a Mercedes/BMW mechanic and he says the same thing. I try not to use anything else.

Costco gas with redline si-1 every so often, usually before I change my oil. You can see what that additive does for your combustion chamber here. By the third tank with si-1 yoiur combustion chamber is like new even at 250k miles.

Years ago I switched to Spur -- a year later I had to have my carb cleaned. I now use Shell. There is a reason to use top tier gasoline, especially now with fuel injectors. As the mechanic said, "You can pay me now or you can pay me later".

HEB, large food market chain local to TX. Huge (fuel) turnover, usually the cheapest prices, 1.3 miles from house, and no surcharge for cc usage.

Around me Quick Trip is usually the cheapest and it's Top Tier. I do try to stay with Top Tier when I can. I don't sweat the occasional non Top Tier fill up on the road. The only real difference is the detergent additive package.

Nothing wrong with Kroger gas. I had Hemifever do an 89 tune and a trans tune on my truck. I did the whole thing where you drive the truck around recording and then send him the log files, etc. He said "Whatever gas you're using, stick with it".

Get the 76 app and link to credit card. Get 10-25c discount per gallon. Also can sit in truck until pump ready, good for "sketchy" stations, or you'll por ******** with freezing weather ( im in winter coat in cali cold 50*). 76 used to be expensive, but find stations here and there that are cheaper then watered down arco.

Sheetz or Rutters...they have Unleaded 88 and are plentiful where I drive. And rewards cards give even more of a discount

93 octane fuel from Pilot truck stop, 1 mile from my house, and usually the better pricing, currently $2.94 per gallon.
