You'll have less space between the bottom of the 20-820 filter and the front diff, but it'll fit, I promise! I've run that one and the Fram XG2 on mine for a couple years without issue on the install, removal, or daily use. Use with confidence!Well I grabbed a 20-820…Im skeptical but I yield to those that have done it…

Try to put filter in from the front instead of up from the bottom, it was a lot easier on my truck but I am leveled & have a 1.5” bl. The 20-820 & 20-500, 820’s were out of stock both fit on my 15I will try it out tomorrow. Hoping I will be pleasantly surprised! Thanks!
Its installed! Pretty tight quarters. I will need a new filter wrench to get it off. My old school one did not fit. I hit the filter with brake clean and HeMan’d it with two hands. Im 6’4 250lbs. Its tight enough. By the way, brake clean started dissolving the purple paint lol.Try to put filter in from the front instead of up from the bottom, it was a lot easier on my truck but I am leveled & have a 1.5” bl. Redline prices have turned me off. Great oil though. The PUP is a close second in my opinion.Redline with Oversized RP filter, I too was thoroughly convinced by the members here.
You fellas with 20-820’s installed, what filter wrench do you use? I saw one Rainman Ray is using Im going to try and find it…

I have many of these…This was the one I could not get around the 20-820.Imo, any type that'll fit.
I use the old swival ratchet styled for getting the filter off.(posted a pic of one similar to what I use)
I've always tightened oil filters by hand giving it an extra 1/4" turn after the filter is seated.
Thats tomorrow…I usually do it whenever I do pads/rotors, which was a week ago and of course forgot.Time to change that brake fluid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: “around” was the wrong word. Couldn't get it between the rack and bottom of filter.
All good my friend! My wrenches were too wide slip in the gap no matter how I contorted it. The bigger filter is on it and I am happy.Imo again, any type that fits and can get the job done for you.
I use the larger oil filters on my HEMI and do not have any issue(s) with using my oil filter wrench removing them.
Good luck and happy motoring.
Exactly what I do. There's no need to overtighten the filter. Once the rubber gasket is compressed, the opening is sealed. Anything past that is just metal on metal. Should not have to use impact wrench either, but seems like what they use at the factoryI've always tightened oil filters by hand giving it an extra 1/4" turn after the filter is seated.
